Lions are REALLY good
They are a HUGE problem. It’s a shootout in Detroit. The Lions offense is flat out scary. Goff has been perfect 17 for 17 so far.
They are scoring TDs any way they want and match down the field with ease.
OK, but let's put this in context. Up until last night, Jared Goff had thrown 3 TDs and 4 INTs. He appeared rattled and was habitually checking down short of the sticks. Fans and media were wondering what was wrong with Jared Goff and should the Lions consider putting in Hendon Hooker.
Played great last night, but that's the NFL. Yes, the Lions are a very good team. Probably the best team the Vikings have on their remaining schedule. If they're on, you want no part of them. But they're not always on.

Not always on, but very physical and very talented and well coached. They are the best team in the NFC North until we take it from them.

That's exactly what I was going to point out. Also, THIS Vikings team can match the physicality of Detroit. Last year, we couldn't.
I said it after we beat SF, but I'll say it again. Our team closely mirrors Detroit. Great collection of offensive playmakers, good OL, front 7 on defense is physical and talented, and we have a veteran QB cast off that is playing the best football of his career and found a home.
I think we can go toe to toe with Detroit. The way to beat Goff is to pressure him and stop their run game. Should be a fun game in a few weeks.

Phew! Thanks for setting me straight. They were just going up and down the field. It makes sense now. Plus the Lions defense could not really stop Seattle either.

Thanks for the context. I agree. They are a very good team and well balanced on offense
When comparing good teams against good teams in this league, the differences are razor thin. I guess the exception for me is KC with Reid and #15.
I think Detroit looked every bit the team that played well in last years nfccg. Fck, Goff was like 18/18. No incompletions.
When the Vikings are looking to being kings of the north, they are looking right @ Detroit and trying not to trip over GB or CHI on the way.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Yep. What pissed me off was everyone swinging on Green Bay’s sack this offseason. Yes they are young and talented and their QB got it going last year late, but all the SB hype for a 9-8 team is a slap in Detroit and the Vikings face, considering with Cousins we were among the best teams last year.

Seattle was missing some horses on D, but they way Detroit was playing, I think they win @ home 7/10 meetings with them.
We play at Seattle later this season. Not a place we've played well historically. I have that as one of our losses this season just because.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
