Two 6/1 teams about to go at it, field full of stars on both sides, MNF...

And any fan forum u visit right now its gloom and doom with zero energy...

Sad state of affairs...

Maybe everyone will get the wind back in their sails if Carson looks decent and the Vikings win.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Yeah, I am still upbeat, but largely because we get to see how Wentz looks with a full week of practice. Having our QB look like garbage and we lose a winnable game makes it very hard to stay positive. Even for a pollyanna like me.

I think last weeks loss/poor play finally drained some folks from what energy they had left.:confused:It was so disappointing. It was a winnable game & to lose in the manner they did is totally unacceptable.

I'm trying to stay positive the best I can. I am not in a "Doom & Gloom" frame of mind, but geeze, they sure make it hard to be 100% positive.

I'm looking forward to this game. 😊

@purplefaithful ~ One can make positive posts & ask others to be positive, but we can't control how others feel. We all feel/think the way we do.

Sometimes it's hard not to, but I just don't let the "Negative Nancies" affect me.

I'll do a happy dance for ya!

The lack of enthusiasm you are seeing and feeling is the collective waiting for the other shoe to drop. Too many times have the Vikings built up a facade of a good to great team only to fall flat on their ass. If at any point in their 63 years ONE of these times had turn in to an actual Super Bowl victory then there would be much much more excitement.

On top of that, a good portion of fans fell for the "We have our franchise QB in the house" malarky. Now, after shipping him off for a bag of peanuts, many are questioning not only direction, but the current administration and ownership as a whole. Can you really say with any sort of conviction that this is a Super Bowl winning organization right now? I know I can't, but I am certainly looking for any sort of sign of life to give some real hope. Even then the apprehension is strong.

And the cherry on top is Kyler Murray not even really being a serviceable QB, after being told that JJM was the worst ever and Murray will SAVE US!

With all of that you get a big giant fart of fandom. Every time I am asked how are the Vikings doing, it's been a sigh and a lean back in the chair....

Tough matchup against what many think is the best team in the NFL. Vikings are a good team. For as bad as QB play was last week, they very well could have won and should have won on the road against a good team. Bills are a better team but the Vikings are playing at home and are no slouches.

Wentz is a slow mover but can read defenses. He will take some sacks and is inaccurate at times, but can operate an NFL offense. The Vikings came up one or two plays short last week. I think Wentz can make some of those throws Murray couldn't.

Wentz isn't a superstar, but he may be enough to put a team that isn't far off, over the top. I'm optimistic!

Why is this announced already? Why not play the will he/wont he game? I am not seeing the upside of making this declaration 5 days before the game and not making the bills at least prepare for the possibility of Murray. Now they have a full week to prepare just for Wentz. Its like somebody wants him to fail.

Or they wanted to send Kyler a message. If Wentz was going to take the 1st team reps all week, the Bills will know exactly who they are starting anyways. The Bills know how Kyler has played. Everyone saw it coming. Just my two cents anyways.

Just so many puzzling and flat out awful decisions made by this head coach and organization in general going back to this past offseason. It's mind-blowing that we are 6-1 despite that. Thank God for Flores.

What message wouldn't have been sent by Wentz getting those reps, or simply telling kyler that he wasn't getting it done. Not sure the install portions of practice are open to the media so we may not have heard about this until later on. Or simply just have koc keep saying the kyler or day to day and they are resting his leg, plenty of ways to keep the bills from scheming entirely for Wentz.

I think there’s a mentality of you are what your last game says you are. Forget about not losing a game for about a year. Doom, gloom, and wallowing in the negative.

I'm excited about the game. It's always fun to watch that Viking defense. And I think Wince is going to make the offense look competent for the first time all year. Just worried that this could change who our starter is the rest of the season, and I think that would be the wrong decision. But we'll see, maybe this is our Nick Foles moment. Anyone remember the QB he replaced?

Why do we (not just you) keep calling Carson Wentz by Wince? Did I miss something or is this like when some of us called Kyler the Dwarf King?

I started that last year. It stuck. You're welcome.

Don't they have to report who was a participant who was not? I was just saying that the Bills aren't dumb. Also, I think Carson is a veteran pro. Not sure it matters too much if they know or not. He will be fine IMO.

there is an injury report, but I am thinking that you can report limited participation and tell the press that hammy story is keeping him from a full go. either way, I am sure that other teams keep severity of injury under wraps, so I am not sure why KOC suddenly becomes mr information, when most other questions are answered with word salad.

I think i mentioned it the other day.

Could be a nice turn for Wentz to get his shot after watching his backup win the superbowl.

It'd be cool if he went off. He's 33 years old. It's possible.......
