My gut says he’s not going anywhere, actually. Trading him to the 49ers when they are on your schedule is about as dumb as it gets.

I would not be surprised if Jennings were traded, but absolutely not to the 49ers. Trade deadline is 12 days before we meet them in CDMX. He can download them on everything KO is trying to do with Kyler. While a Jennings trade may indeed happen, the Vikings are much more buyers in this market than sellers.

They are buyers, but not until next Monday because I think another loss for the teams with shit records and tradable assets that Minnesota might be most interested in will become more available for less. Depress that market a bit more one week with the strong desire to tank and do the 'competitive rebuild' that is en vogue.

I'd say to those fans that are still waiting: I really don't see Minnesota taking a step back, just forward. They've figured out a lot offensively and still are 5-0. Last Sunday was the most comfortable I've seen Murray as a Viking, he's a different player when confident. And now with something to prove maybe? He's small, but he's got dawg in him. Have to to make it to this level. He's more reserved but I'm getting the vibe that other members of the team really dig he's a top-tier athlete.

Anyway, the 49ers game I'm extremely excited for, especially if Murray keeps getting incrementally better. Its a confident team that might turn out to be very hard to beat come late November.

For the first time all year, I saw some swagger in Murray's body language. I think that's a good sign that he's getting more comfortable.

Exactly. No draft pick is worth giving the 9ers his "knowledge" of the offense and a chance at revenge.

Also, his role in the offense will likely get bigger as our offense matures and teams roll more coverage towards Jefferson and Addison.

I think they (Vikings/K1) are just starting to understand how things can come together.

Murray is definitely more of an "I" then an "E" but so was Darnold, it can work.

Keep everyone healthy and enjoy...Next 6 games are going to be challenging and a good measuring stick as to where they really stand in the NFC rankings

Colts, @Lions, Bills,@GB, SF, Falcons is a big challenge...

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

They havent been using Jennings right - big miss by KOC/Phillips.

See my post in Jennings yelling at KOC thread. It might have been MB who first called this out and he was right...

Jennings was a big slot in SF and did his damage there. He's been pushed out to X here and its been disastrous.

This is what I'm looking forward to the most, these next 6 games. I have less stress for games against good teams than bad. I'm too old to get this fan-emotionally involved in a 6-11 team, but a really good team I can get behind. We'll know exactly what kind of team we have come 6 games from now. It might be special and then it gets really fun. But if not, we're used to pulling the rip cord whenever, we are Viking's fans. The perpetually disappointed. Until we aren't....its how it works. Ask Cubs fans.

Bring on the good teams. 😍

I just don’t see how trading Jennings away would make sense unless he’s totally toxic.  I get that emotions run high, but I think KOC is a guy who can work with that and doesn’t shy away from it (although I do think JJM probably got shipped out because his emotions were getting in the way of his progress).  I know a lot of people are thinking he’s washed, but I think he fits right into what Kyler achieves via the TEs.  He might not be the guy that is getting open as the WR1 on a play 30 yards down the field, but I think he can be that safety net for Kyler at the end of the play.  We’ve had one good Kyler game, a lot of injuries on offense, and it looks like the scheme has changed a bunch so far, so it’s not exactly like he’s been failing within a perfectly functional offense and outside of JJ all the WRs have been underperforming statistically.

Totally agree that we’re buyers more than sellers.  I’ve been a naysayer on the RB train for a couple years now, but I think now we’re ready for one (this year trade or draft one next year).  I’m not sure where exactly we can find a guy that will tilt the field at any of the other positions though.  I don’t really understand the WR trade hype.  We’re already heavily invested in that position.

I think most of our gains this year are going to come from Kyler and KOC figuring each other out and really solidifying this offense.

I agree. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do. As you said, those are a good measuring stick for where they really stand. We shall see!
