I was just checking into this! I was curious on how many times a team had a POW so far. There's 21 different teams that have had one.

We're at the top with 4. There's 6 teams with 2, all others have 1.

10/0 counting last season

They just held the Saints to 142 yards of total offense

They've allowed just 12.8 pts/game season-to-date

It would end in a tie!

LOL ~ It's a good thing that ties are not allowed in play-offs or the Super Bowl.

I've said for awhile now that it's shaping up for this to happen, but in typical Vikings and Bills fashion, neither team can hold up its end of the bargain and make it to the Superbowl. Maybe this year...🤞

I'd prefer the Vikings' defensive stats mirror the '95 Bears defense, the '14 Seahawks defense, and/or the '01 Ravens defense. They all won the Superbowl with incredibly dominating defenses.

As we all know, the Bills, like the Vikings have had good defenses, but still never won anything, so can we find stats that compare us to those three teams instead? 🤪

Vikings match rare feat by 1991 Bills, but with a very different formula

The 1991 Bills rode a high-powered offense to the Super Bowl. The unbeaten Vikings are winning with defense and special teams, but their offense might be waking up.

The Minnesota Vikings have done what no NFL team has done in more than three decades by winning a weekly award in four of the first five weeks of the season.

The Vikings have had two defensive player of the week winners — cornerback Isaiah Rodgers in Week 2 and cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. in Week 5 — and two special teams players of the week: returner Myles Price in Week 3 and kicker Will Reichard in Week 4.

The last team to win four weekly awards in five weeks to begin a season was the 1991 Buffalo Bills, who had the offensive or defensive player of the week in five straight weeks to start the season.

The ’91 Bills went 13-3 and lost to the Washington Redskins, 37-24, in the Super Bowl. Of course, that game was played in Minneapolis at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

Thomas was the NFL MVP and was named offensive player of the year that season, leading a Bills offense that finished second in scoring, helping cover the flaws of a 19th-ranked defense.

The 2026 Vikings have been fueled by the league’s best defense and special teams, which have masked the flaws of an offense that failed to score a touchdown in 12 of 14 quarters from the start of the Week 2 game in Chicago through halftime of their Week 5 win over the Saints.

If the Vikings’ offense actually gets going, there’s no telling just how dominant this 5-0 team can be. They dominated the Packers with a ferocious second-half defensive effort in Week 1, shut down the Bears in the rain at Soldier Field in Week 2, had Baker Mayfield running for his life in Tampa in Week 3, and held both Malik Willis and Tyler Shough under 100 yards passing in wins over the Dolphins and Saints in Weeks 4 and 5.

The offense has shown signs of life, especially Kyler Murray, who has completed 37 of 42 passes in his last five quarters. And if it weren’t for a couple of fumbles in the red zone against New Orleans, Minnesota’s 23-13 victory might’ve looked a lot more lopsided than it was, and the offense would be getting more credit and respect.

Minnesota is on bye this week and should get reinforcements in Week 7 against the Colts as running back Jordan Mason (thumb), left tackle Christian Darrisaw (concussion), and tight end T.J. Hockenson (concussion) are all expected to return from injuries.

Being pretty generous calling our O mediocre thus far.
