Don't sleep on FCS running backs.
There's a kid who went to Dassel-Cokato (Minnesota for you non-residents) high school who just set the all-time points scoring record at Montana yesterday. This 6'0" 215 lb RB is closing in on Cooper Kupp's all time Big Sky Conference scoring record. You might've heard of that Cooper Kupp guy. Gillman already has 17 TD's this season, vs 21 all last season, and over 4,500 yards so far in his career. On the Walter Payton Watch List, and named to two Pre-Season All America lists this season. He kept getting better each season. It's impressive to watch him find a seam and exploit it. Don't sleep on FCS players.

Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.
This guy would be a tremendous add to our D. iLB usually don’t go too high. Hopefully he’s there for us.

I watched him specifically on Saturday night cause of your posts here on the kid...
We definitely need pipeline for Cashman and Wilson too.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Georgia has a S too, but…ummmm…you know
Need to dig in on Cole a bit more and the Georgia D scheme. Golday and Big Citrus both played in 3-3-5 schemes and I think some 6-1. Might be on BFlo’s wishlist.
Would want to gauge football IQ somehow as a couple posters routinely bring that salient point up. Do they play within the scheme or do they ignore responsibilities and expose their teammates? Cole would be a great balance of BPA and need fulfillment if Baugh isn’t available.

From a production level, yeah...Manning will probably be overdrafted. From a prospect perspective, he's going to go high. How high remains to be seen. He's big, fast, excellent movement skills and the arm that any team longs for so haven't we all seen it before with GMs who fall in love? He's somebody's ultimate piece of clay. That might blow up for a team. But maybe the pressure is reduced if he goes outside round 1, which I'm still not convinced he will ultimately.

Carr is a RS Soph. In the history of the draft only 7 RS Soph QBs have declared. The last one being Trey Lance. Besides Carr, Mestemaker, Drake Lindsay & Sayin are also RS Sophs.
Georgia runs a multiple, hybrid defensive scheme under head coach Kirby Smart and defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann that primarily shifts between a 4-2-5 base and a 3-4 Tite / Mint front. [1]
Key Defensive Characteristics
Multiple Alignments: The Bulldogs frequently morph pre-snap—moving from a 4-2-5 look into a 3-4 Mint or tight front (and vice versa) to disguise gaps and confuse opposing quarterbacks and offensive lines.
Four-Down & "Heads" Fronts: They utilize four-down packages with split-field and quarters coverages, as well as a "Heads" interior defensive line alignment where tackles lag off the guards to engage blockers and funnel runners to the linebackers.
Simulated Pressures & Creepers: Rather than relying purely on all-out blitzes, they use a mix of base alignments, stunts, and simulated/five-man pressure packages (utilizing the 30/30/30 philosophy: 30% base, 30% stunts, 30% pressure).
Versatile Personnel:
They deploy hybrid EDGE rushers who can drop or play as traditional outside linebackers/defensive ends, alongside flexible defensive backs who run full-field match concepts and post-snap rotation shells. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Would be the best balance of BPA and need by far.

He really is a great player. If KOC continues to focus on the running game, I think it would be a very justified pick. The Addison decision looms as well. He will be a free agent at the end of 2027. Jefferson will be 28 by summer. I could see us going RB or WR being Addison is a FA after 2027, and I could very well see them trading him as well. With how it is playing out, I almost see a WR for round 1 for us in 2027 draft. I think we could wait on RB for a couple rounds after.
I still have my DGB fan boi membership card. Lord, that was a massive miss.
