For those complaining about KOC, look no further than the Giants/Commanders game for horrible clock management and coaching.

KOC knows how to win games. We can complain about play calling, but he's had to learn how many different QBs over the last couple seasons? Dating back to the second half of last year, he's actually putting more emphasis on a consistent running game. I'd expect us to bring in a good RB in the off-season to keep this trend going.

He was young when he was hired and he's maturing as a HC. Imagine if we get a true franchise QB here... the gaudy win percentage will be the gaudiest eva.

In the overtime, both teams had possessed the ball when Harbaugh had it at Washington's 20. Kick a f.g. you win. Instead he runs Skattaboo who fumbles. WTF?

But all anyone talks about is Quinn and Daniels screwing up at the end. Am I missing something? Am I taking crazy pills?

That was a really horribly timed fumble by Skattebo....he was gutted when he did it, thought he lost them the game.

And as someone mentioned, Jayden Daniels is today's RGIII. That kid had a brain fart to end all brain farts at the end of that game. The HC fell on his sword for him, but that's on him. Its his 3rd year in the league, no excuse.

Siriani has cost the Eagles their last two games.

Oh for sure, both coaches had huge gaffes at the end. Harbaugh doesn't get a pass either. I get it, his kicker missed a couple longer FGs, but that was in chip shot range. You take the points there with like 2 minutes left. You make it, game over. They didn't even get a chance to kick it and then Quinn and Daniels screwed themselves out of the win too. Terrible game management by both squads.

Literally you just tell your Kicker to boot it into the end zone. Don't even give them a chance for a return with 8 seconds left. It's crazy how much these guys get paid and screw up clock management and end of game situations. Luckily KOC has been very good in that department, he knows how to close out the close ones.

Exactly. Through the end zone or a muddy kick into the landing zone but even that isn’t without risk.

Stupid. He’s probably on the way out.

KO says, "hold my beer" re the home game against the Bears last year.

Did they have a timeout tho? Big difference and at some point you have to have the players execute. Like Chambliss did this year against the bears. I think they tried the same return but Chambliss shut it down.

Weird...I thought I highlighted/bolded the first sentence about booting into the end zone. I haven't been as down on KO for clock management as many fans have over the years.

That’s why he lasted as long as he did in the draft because he had a tendency to put it on the ground too often

KOC wins games. He's won a ton of close ones. Now we all want that elusive playoff win, but you can't dispute he's a good coach, although some fans love to. He's won 10 straight going back to last year.

Some coaches just aren't very good with the clock. Denny Green was brilliant but he struggled in that area. I'd say it's one of KOC's strengths.

That was a little different situation though. There was about a minute left and the Bears had timeouts. If we get a touchback, they get it on the 35 yard line and no time comes off the clock. We wanted to kick it and try to pin them deeper than that to a) take time off the clock and b) force them to have to go further to get into FG range.

In the Eagles Jags game, there was 8 seconds left. Kick it into the end zone, give it to them at the 35 and they have one play to get 25 or 30 yds with no timeouts for a FG. And they have to get out of bounds to stop the clock. Apples to oranges.

Except when it comes to getting the plays in on time! 🙂
