I think Teasley is trying to make a record for the most running backs signed to the team and then released within one week, lol.
My guess is a minor trade is upcoming for another RB.
This indicates that rookie Brett Thorson is ready to resume punting. https://t.co/2Rjw5RCJ3u

I mean, at some point you have to say that the team did not manage the RB roster appropriately. They decided to go with 3 RBs to start the season- Jones, Mason, and Claiborne. Did they really think Jones was going to make it through the whole season without being injured given his age and injury history? Maybe Scott was their fallback but he got poached early by the Bears.
The team is not comfortable with just Jones/Claiborne, I assume they wouldn’t be comfortable with just Mason/Claiborne. So they then cycle through RBs on the practice squad.
Now there are rumors of trading for a RB? How about just keeping an extra RB on the roster you can trust to get you through an injury to one of them? We have seen this cycle repeat itself in the past with KoC/KAM - ie. the trading for Cam Akers in multiple years.
Maybe they will try to survive with Jones/Claiborne and call up Austime for the NO game until Mason is back after the bye. It’s kind of baffling to me that they didn’t plan for this possibility a little better.

Could have had several RBs from the 25 RB class. Instead, we have a punt gunner.

Agree 100%. Scott clearly outplayed outplayed Clairborne in pre season and should have made the team over him, if not keep them both, which would have been justified with Jones injury history.

Thats what I don't get. If we knew we were gonna pound the rock. WTF were they thinking not investing on RB early? I get the first 3 picks. After that, RB should have been a priority. OR we should have gotten something done in FA.

Agree completely! I also think it’s KOCs love of Aaron Jones that has prevented us from drafting another RB higher in the draft, OR signing someone younger in FA. I was kind of frustrated we elected to resign Jones for this year, at what in between $5-6M? Jones is still decent and seems like a good leader and teammate, which I think KOC is valuing with him.
But I would have rather had a Gainwell at 7M, or a Allgeier at 6M ish (though he seems similar to Mason). Dowdle was out there as well for about the same money. I don’t think any of those guys would have the “wearing down” factor or injury risk that Jones does.

I was pounding the table for Skattebo. My father-in-law is an ASU fan so I had some exposure. He is just the right amount of meathead to compliment Aaron Jones.

Agreed Or they could have traded a player for a player (RB) instead of a pick before Week 1.
Don't trade JJ.
I think what you are seeing with Teasley is what KOC and the rest of the staff do extremely well: situational mastery. Its great alignment that way strategically. Listen, you can do all the roster prep you want preseason, but the NFL is a week to week league with all the injuries and attrition that way when things go live. Obviously he's been very active with the moves and if you sign a guy and he doesn't work out, move on quickly and get someone else in. Supplementing the roster core is vital as the season progresses. How about Van Noy? You may not be able to sign All Pros week to week once the season starts, but you can still sign players that help the team in a real way.

Our almost pigheaded refusal to draft a RB the last two drafts has been frustrating. Jonah Coleman, Emmett Johnson, Mike Washington, Tuten, Skattebo, Croskey-Merritt...all available in the middle rounds when we chose to go in another direction. The full story on those decisions hasn't yet been written, but it's not looking good right now.
