Have not seen who was released to make room. So do they keep 6 safeties now? Do not see either Thomas being released, so that would leave either Jackson or Ward or keep 6. My guess is maybe they drop a TE.

They released Dyson on Friday.

Actually we were already carrying 3.0 and 7.6 mil of void aka future money on him for 2026 and 2027 respectively.
New contract details have not hit OTC as of now so not sure what the structure is or if there is more void money added.
IMO it's a lot to pay for a 37 year old safety who can't hit or tackle much at this point. But Flores wants him as a sort of coach on the field and since Flores is as good as he is, he gets what he wants.

Harry isn't going to look like Hamilton out there. It's been a while since he was doing that kinda stuff.
But the leadership/teaching he can bring on the field and the locker room isn't that debatable.
I think the same is true for Van Noy. I like both these signings.

The AT trade was desperation. Addison was out for 3 weeks, Jefferson sat out all of preseason with the hammy. We had no depth.
This feels like it was understood for a while now. IF Jamal Adams didn't get injured, maybe it doesn't happen. But I feel like Harry wanted one more shot at it. And I am excited to watch him again. The stuff he did last year was masterful. He doesn't have to be a physical freak anymore to influence the game.

Hindsight is 20/20, but trading anything for a WR4 is just lunacy. I think it was mostly a PR move. The addition of Harry, while not a needle mover, gives Flores rotational flexibility pretty much everywhere now.
