I Still Prefer The Immigrant Song
“Hell is empty and all the devils are here”
Shakespeare
I know 'Welcome to the Jungle' is maybe more a tired cliche type entrance song and maybe overplayed back in the day, but.....I still love that first 30 to 40 seconds as an intro tune. 'Enter Sandman' is great at Virginia Tech and Madtown kicks off the 4th quarter with 'Jump Around'. Good stuff.
Dayum...that song makes me want to abandon my family and take up arms against my oppressor. Imagine that thing being sung by 70K in the Bank.
“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."
—George Orwell

Nothing wrong with the classics either, but just not the Vikings.

Thanks a lot, JT. 😂 I’m supposed to be working, and now I’m sitting here listening to angry Icelandic songs like I’m preparing to invade England. My productivity is officially f*^ked.
She sounds like an angrier, Icelandic version of Shakira.
Here's her play list:

I think the whole thing is AI. The music, the girl. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yeah, I thought the same thing.
So there's this younger drummer (Seth Davis) out there on Instagram....and he goes in AI and does things like 'What if Jolene by Dolly Parton was a heavy metal anthem'? or 'What if Sailing by Christopher Cross was an 80s synth pop song'....and what AI spits out is unreal. Its SO GOOD. Some of these songs are absolutely fantastic by changing the musical genres.

There's another guy redoing Iron Maiden in a bunch of other styles. The Piece Of Mind album in Synthwave was amazing

I've always wondered how over engineered stadiums need to be to carry the additional stress of 70k people jumping at the exact same time.

The Metrodome used to move quite a bit when the fans were a rockin'.
I would get chills and fired up before the game when the immigrant song started playing. Love that song.
I do think it's time to update the SKOL Vikings touchdown song though. Seems a bit dated.

It is dated, but old skule and provincial too lol!
I was glad they brought it back myself.

Oh it's dated alright. But I think that silliness is part of its appeal. I mean, sure, "rock 'em, sock 'em, fight, fight, fight, fight" isn't exactly Dylan, but my kids knew the words to this song before they learned the words to patty cake.

We all love hearing it no doubt!
