IMO, the Brandel shotgun snap issue is just a cry for clicks. He will get it figured out. Probably thinking a bit too much right now, but we have a month until the start of the season?

Another datapoint (albeit a small one) as to why getting QB1 settled sooner vs later was a good idea.

All this talk about Chuck in camp, but did anyone really notice him on the field this past Saturday? I had the Giants broadcast on and limited replays, so it was slim pickings on seeing some of the rookies.

Yeah, camp man.....we love to hear good things but we need to keep it in perspective. But he certainly seems to be popping in a positive way and getting noticed. He's got that nice size and length desired at the spot. 🤞

Damn....this could get ugly if we're not careful. We were so concerned with whether or not Brandel could block, we kinda forgot to ask if he could snap. I don't remember this being a problem last year in his limited time at center, but I don't know how many times he was asked to snap shotgun either.

Well shit.

They wanted to draft a center, specifically Jake Slaughter.....hope it turns out ok.

Final cutdowns center interest by Minnesota? Minor trade?

C,S, Edge - all in play I would think as rosters are getting set for game1. Could probably add corner depth to that list too.

I mean they had Connor Lew, Same Hecht, Logan Jones all for the taking. I was super high on Lew. I guess they didn't think they needed them.

Think most of his reps were with the second string, but didn't do anything to standout from what I recall. As Viking1987 said, that could be a good thing. Also, the giants didn't mount much of an offense from what I recall. Sacks and INTs, so there wasn't much to challenge him.

Cornerback Chuck Demmings earned a Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 61.1 for the Minnesota Vikings in their 13-10 preseason victory over the New York Giants on August 15, 2026. [1, 2, 3]

Preseason Performance Context

  • Aug 16, 2026 — PFF grades for notable Vikings rookies vs. NYG: S Jacob Thomas: 92.5. LB Jake Golday: 81.6. RB Demond Claiborne: 62.2.

LOL. But actually probably more accurate than regular season since the schemes are more straight forward.
