Well, it's day 3 of T.C. Wonder what interesting things we'll hear/learn about today. Always anxious to hear how the guys are doing. Well, anything other than the QB "competition" 😎

Yep, we need to go back to some of the excellent typed reports we had back in the Mankato/Purple Thoughts days.

Those were the innocent days of just reporting for the love of being a fan or with no intended bias. Today is contrived rage baiting for monetizing their accounts on X. The genie is out of the bottle now unfortunately.....

Jordan Mason…. best shape of his life?!?!?

“What I'm really impressed with Jordan is that, some guys come back, and you just know they're in shape, and you look at, he dropped some pounds, he felt like he was too heavy,” Phillips said. “He put a lot of work this offseason, both in the spring and the summer, into coming in and making sure he's at his best. So, really impressed with his mindset coming in here.”

The Vikings, who have reiterated their commitment to improving the run, will have to decide how they want to divy up the reps between Mason and Aaron Jones. Last year they were fairly closely split when both were healthy and both players had their moments but the 27-year-old Mason ended up with 4.8 yards per carry and in the top-15 in yards after contact.

If the team can trust Mason with all aspects of the offense i.e. pass protection and receiving, it stands to reason that they would lean on him more in hopes of keeping Aaron Jones healthy all year. Being in shape to take on an RB1(ish) workload could help Mason from the jump.

Also a contract year for him...I could absolutely see him moving to that RB1 spot if he can stay healthy.

Problem is that people are getting paid for their platform. Anyone is a reporter. I think they are trying to limit who can profit off a $10 ticket.

Aaron Jones mentioned on gmfb that Mason was down a few pounds. From one of the clips I saw yesterday that sure seems to be the case.

Christian Darrisaw is feeling great. Following practice, Darrisaw had a huge smile on his face when he was asked how he was feeling. “The best I’ve felt in two years,” he said, beaming. “Definitely came a long way and this offseason has been huge for me.”

He described practice the last two days as being “tremendous” and said that the rest this offseason for the knee that plagued him during an ACL recovery last year was absolutely vital to getting back to full strength.

“Just feeling like myself truly, like not even having to worry about like just like stiffness waking up and things like that,” Darrisaw said. “It’s just like night and day from how I came into the season and how I’m feeling.”

I asked Darrisaw how much it weighed on him mentally last year when he was battling to get back on the field and several times had to remove himself from games. “Definitely taxing,” Darrisaw said. “Because my brothers, man, we worked so hard together, and I know I worked my ass off to get back into point, put me in that position [to play last year]. And just my body was not responding the way I wanted to, and not allowing me to do the things I needed to do. It kind of restricted me a bit. But now we’re here and ready to roll.

Can’t help but go back to the first presser.

“He’s on one side of the room, I’m on the other. It’s up to the coaches to teach us”

No, JJ. You’re both in the same classroom. He made it decisive from the jump. And he’s apparently continuing the juvenile bull shit.

Painfully immature.

lol, Kyler and JJ hate each other! I knew this narrative was coming, there's a post from me about a month ago somewhere saying this very thing would come from the media. SMH, Judd and Doogie, the Dipshit Twins. "It was WEIRD, I tells ya!" 😂

I'll say this: I'm sure they aren't besties. As it should be IMO. Going to be some bitter bile for QB2, which is going to be JJ....I mean, from Kyler's perspective it would be why did you sign me if it wasn't to be QB1? No way Murray is going to take to QB2, he'd probably ask to be released.

I’d hope so. I believe Rouse might kick inside or already has had snaps at G.
