Taco Bell and their iceberg lettuce supplier is a main focus now.....like they needed help in manufacturing diarrhea to their customers before this. 🤔🙄
Some consumers don't understand that many retailers share suppliers, with varying levels of quality depending on what they are looking for, specs and what pricepoint they need to be at. A Whole Foods or a Costco won't have the same lettuce supplier, but Walmart or ALDI might. And iceberg is the cheapest crap of the lettuce world you can get.....

Taylor Farms is a big time distributor.....to many top retailers. Yikes.

Yup, their iceberg lettuce goes to: Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, Whole Foods...

Walmart and Kroger alone account for the entire country distribution wise. This isnt taking into account the restaurants and food chains they supply.

I'd be more than pissed if I were Taylor Farms:
"The Food and Drug Administration walked back claims that the parasite that has sickened thousands across the U.S. was found on lettuce from Taylor Farms. The agency reclassified Saturday's finding as a false positive and added that the cyclospora parasite has not been detected on any of its samples."

Thats an understatement...
Cross checking for false positives is an elementary part of an investigation like this.
Either incompetence, too few resources or in too much of a hurry. Maybe all of the above.
