This guy is going to hammer people on ST.

Man, I would love to see a return to ST dominance that we had in the 70s. Matt Blair was such a great kick blocker. Maybe Daniels has the horses to a partial return to glory. Free up Price on KRs with Claiborne taking that over. Or put both back there in some sets. Cut down penalties on the return game and we probably put up another win.

To be honest, I don't think KAM was a horrible drafter as much as he traded away all the picks.

I'd be curious as to what the conversations were like prior to the drafts and who all was advocating for the trades. Was it just KAM who wanted to trade a bunch of picks for Maye or was it a consensus process and KAM took the fall?

I don't think Brez had much to do with this draft. I think Flores had a list of like 20 guys and the team gave him the draft in exchange for signing his extension.

Sure feels like that, doesn't it.. I agree with you that Flores had full go on this draft. I also think that was a handshake deal to sign.

I was pulling for Brez, for sure. But I think we got a good one with Teasley and I agree that Brez shines in his cap management role.

But let's be frank here...the reason we got into cap hell (after having SOOOO much space under the cap two years ago), is the cumulative effect of Kwesi's REALLY BAD drafts. Instead of having a manageable number of guys still on their rookie scale, he was forced to overreach for free agents that were expensive. A series of good drafts should refresh the sheer volume of players still on the 4-5 year rookie scale.
