More On Frank Smith
We have so many signs pointing to increased running of the ball.

Mason could be a big beneficiary.

Thats a very good read on Smith...
Helps me connect a bunch of dots on the decisions they just made on personnel.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Hell, KOC needs this to be unpredictable. It'll just add SO much to have a consistent running attack as well for this offense. If the hogs can stay healthy on that line.....fingers crossed.
I was thrilled when we brought in Frank Smith, and I think he'll end up being one of the biggest reasons for our offensive success this season.
Everyone talks about his run game expertise, and rightfully so, but what really stood out to me in Miami was how he used RBs, WRs, and TEs in the passing game. Maybe a little of this falls on McDaniels, but I still believe Smith's fingerprint was on some of it. Time and again, Tua had easy completions designed for De'Von Achane, Malik Washington, and Dlucich/Waller, giving him quick outlets and reducing the pressure on him to make difficult throws.
I expect Aaron Jones and Claiborne to be heavily involved as receivers out of the backfield and lined up outside, even with Mason getting plenty of carries and in with one of the other guys. Claiborne, in particular, reminds me a little of Achane with his vision and explosiveness. He'll need to add some weight if he wants to handle a bigger workload, but the talent is definitely there.
I was all-in on Achane in fantasy football, so I watched just about every Dolphins game the last couple of seasons. If Kevin O'Connell truly gives Smith the freedom to design portions of the offense, and more importantly, commits to using those concepts on game day, I think our running back room could become a real strength. Just as importantly, it should make life much easier on whichever quarterback is under center by creating more defined, high-percentage throws instead of asking the QB to carry the offense as often as we've seen in the past.
Be nice to run out the clock in the 4th quarter.

Interesting set-up on the coaching staff in 26
We got KOC/Phillps/Smith all designing plays...
Embarrassment of riches? 3 heads better than 2?

Bredeson 6'2 255lbs
Jennings 6'3 212lbs..
Ryan Vander mark 6'7 307lbs
Caleb Tiernan 6'8 323 lbs.
Replacing Kelly with 6'7 320?lb+ Brandel
I think I can see where this .is going...…
Seems like KO self scouted last year,, figured some things out, and has changed his personnel as a result.

If that third head was Udinski and not Phillips…

Yup, but we can't look back now...I have no idea how KOC made the decision he did

He knew Udinski was going to go. They already had blocked him the year before. Other than a DUI, what has stood out about Phillips? Dead weight.
Maddening!🤬

Here's the deal, Udinski was a rising star. Even if we let Phillips go and promoted Udinski to OC, some team would have grabbed him in a year or two as a HC. Then KOC is looking for another OC to come in, learn his system, and be OK with not being the play caller. Not a lot of candidates that would want that but Wes seems OK with it.
