I give the Raiders props for bringing Kirko in...

I wouldn’t call it a competition in Vegas. More like, I’m keeping the seat warm until the Nandolorian is ready.

This is the way.

I don't think Mendoza sees the field this year. I think he would have to have a Dan-Marino type training camp to unseat Cousins. That's an offense that can win a few games with Cousins, Jeanty, Bowers, Nailor and Linderbaum...if'n they had a defense.

I agree it was a great idea to bring in Kirk. Perfect for what they need. This is definitely what they need this year for Mendoza. The Raiders have kind of a sneaky offense this year.

Its silly in Cleveland: Watson is a far superior QB than Sanders. I think Tua's accuracy is going to be tough to sit behind Penix....that will turn out to be the case in Minnesota as well with Murray (the ol' wink wink Qb comp). Its no competition in Vegas, sit Mendoza and start Kirko...that's strategic, not competitive. What has surprised me is how long and big Mendoza is.....bigger than I gave him credit for. The dude is 6'5", a solid 236 lbs.

I like Mendoza a lot, I think he's got a bright future and (again) kudos to Da Raiduh's for doing yr1 right so far with him.

And you're right, the QB comp in Cleveland is a little silly, just like it is here...There isnt a real competition for either team. No diss on JJ, he's just not prepared yet to win vs a 7 year vet.

Imagine if Watson looks pretty good in Cleveland. Do you re-sign him?

Depends if he wants it. Watson has seemed to mail it in after his massage break and ownership fiasco. Someone’s feelings seem to have gotten hurt. He has to want it. I liked Watson but he seems to not have the will. It’s probably a bit too late I am assuming.

...a 7 year vet with his own injury history and a career that could be charitably called "wildly disappointing", even before being paid almost $40million to f**k off.

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

That’s the biggest eye opener. He was paid to get the hell out. Strange for a HOFer that will bring us our first Lombardi from the talking heads on here.

Bowers is going to be triple teamed. That WR room is paltry!

The Browns have a temporary coach that’s just there to guide the team through the “How do we survive the end of Watson’s contract” phase until they can reset the books and get a new coach.  No good coach was going to go to Cleveland with the multiyear handicap they currently have.

If he has a great year, maybe I could see them go year to year or something, but I think they’re really just trying to reset the books and restart the organization.
