I love it! Be passionate about something and you can't wait to get to work!
Can you all imagine being in these guy's shoes? How much freaking fun would it be to live out your dream and play a sport for a living?
It has been some time since we have hit on a rookie CB and S, would be great if Thomas and Demmings turn out to be legit. Think the year we drafted Orlando Thomas and Corey Fuller was the last year we hit on both.
Anyone else absolutely jacked up over this class?

It does seem to have a special quality to it. I fantasized about taking two DLs in our first three picks. Didn't think we'd actually do it, but we did. I predicted Golday in the 2nd. I thought we'd take a center in the 3rd, especially considering we added a third 3rd. But I can see now the wisdom of drafting the guard/tackle over the center. Looks like the Vikings may have been jumped for Gennings Dunker, but Tiernan was getting 1st round love in some early mocks. His arm length is the only reason he was still there. Move him to guard and it's not an issue. Maybe the knowledge that we drafted Tiernan and can cut Fries with zero dead will light a fire under our $80M RG.
Thomas, Bredeson, Demmings and Claiborne are a nice mix of immediate contributors and high-upside sleepers. We may have found our WR5 and Punter among the UDFA class.
With no GM, this was a very coach-driven draft. I hope Teasley follows a similar path in 2027.

2 DL was such a pipe dream. Still remember getting the text when we traded up for Claiborne. Throw in Golday and I land two specific guys I wanted with two positions I wanted filled. Could be a special class.

SO happy to have Jakobe Thomas! I really wanted Xavier Watts last year but got sniped a pick before us. This draft class has a ton of promise. Before the draft I said this class will mold the future for this team. They hit a homerun IMO.
Jakobe is a no joke, all business bad ass. Beloved down here at U of Miami. Wants to be great. Great potential (dirty word).

My problem is that he plays fucking HARD. Like Sean Taylor hard. That worked back then. Could get him in trouble in todays NFL. As you know, I am a Miami fan. ACC guy. His potential is there for sure.

Gut feeling is that this is going to be a special class. Intellectually, I'm trying to reign that in as there were a lot of reaches.

Not much of a draft guy here, but I agree. There is much more potential in this class in my very humble opinion.
I have looked up and down this entire draft, and considering everything, who was available, what holes needed filling (a lot), I think this could go down as one of the best drafts in many, many years.
Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.
I agree this is a promising class and it filled key needs too.
I wish I could highlight all the process and people things that changed this year vs last 4 years (besides the GM getting kicked to the curb.)
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

all this positivity... but yet so few wanted to see Brez get the full time opportunity ???
I didnt...
I'm not convinced yet he had a major say on picks this draft..Maybe tie breakers? Keep the train on the rails?
I think this was a draft built on KOC/BFlo/Scouting acumen.
That said, luv the Brez in current role - where he is a black belt.

GM choice 3 for me. Actually thought he’d get the gig. Wouldn’t have hated that move. Wouldn’t have love it either. Hopefully we’ve got our GM for the next couple decades.

I dont care who is in what title.... if this was any indicator of how a draft would go under his "direction" as a GM.... and people are making claims it was one of the best.... does it really matter how it came to be, it came to be under his watch. KAM had those same people and fucked it up, typically the best leaders are the ones that surround themselves with great people and then get out of the way, only involved to make sure things are still following their intended direction.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Just because it was potentially our best draft in a while doesn't mean it can't get better. Teasley has a history with really good scouting and great drafts. I want more of that rather than being satisfied with better than we had.

Fair enough, but we also dont know what (if any) of the process and people in place during this interim period would continue under a Brez as GM regime.
Does the scouting change? Coaches probably not. Either way, I'm good with Teasley and fresh eyes/perspective too...
I think the org needed to be less "in-bred" tbh.
