Much better interview for JJ this week, good to see, more upbeat, more positive and diplomatic.
Agreed. JJ seemed much more upbeat and diplomatic this week.
What stood out to me was the difference in the questioning. I don't recall Murray being asked much about the competition at all, while McCarthy seemed to get multiple questions about it. It's almost as if one guy is being asked to simply play quarterback, while the other is being asked to explain the entire situation surrounding him.

clicks/views/rage bait/spin.....tried to bait him into another quote for the online fanboys.
So in a funny moment, Kyler called Jauan Jennings a 'dirtbag', actually meaning he's a tough minded dude, etc. but if JJ had said it, you'd see 'McCarthy calls new teammate a dirtbag'.....guaranteed. We'll have to see if Alec Lewis was watching the QBs working out together today or not, lmao.....Mr. Context.

Kyler cussed, almost said he and McCown were "off the reservation" (or something like that), and called Jennings a "dirtbag" (like you said). He was much less refined on his wording this time around for sure.

Well he probably got talked to. He came off as an immature brat. But it is good to see that too for JJ
The media seemed to cut it short with JJ lol. What, no sound bites? Click bait comments? I am actually proud of the kid. JJ did well with the questions. Kyler seemed annoyed. Irritated. Curious to what KOC said to them both before Minicamp. Complete opposite pressers from the two today than before.

Day to day and the press tries their best to plant the seeds of dissatisfaction. Kyler seems slightly irritated he's not QB1 already.

Correct. Which led me to my comment of what was said to them both... Kyler seemed irritated and annoyed. JJ handled himself well. You can tell he is still a young QB, but that is to be expected. Kyler basically called out the staff, say what you want, on how he is not getting all the reps and it is hard to get everything down. He's been known to do this stuff in Arizona. Body language and passive aggressive comments isn't new for him.
Yah, K1 getting a little grumpy splitting reps, trying to learn a complex system and it's hot and humid as hell right now in MN too.
I agree with what MB posted in another thread - KOC most likely wants QB1 determined no later than that first week of camp. The entire team probably does too.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Kyler is from Texas and played in Arizona... Fuck you mean it’s hot? That’s what we’re going with?

I would definitely wither away in FL or Hou.

Murray was asked about it and his response was that he's "not too worried about the competition side of things" and that's where it ended. I think JJ continues to get those questions because of how he responded the first day. The media want him to say something more that Twitter can overreact to.
"The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it”
"It's been a continuous upward arrow for him."

Maybe the media needs to hold of on the character assassination of JJ McCarthy... yes he's had a few "immature" moments if you want to call them that... but doing things like this for Aaron Jones, having Jaelen Nailor sing his praises, Adam Thielen going to bat for him, Brian O'Neill saying he's a sicko and he loves him and the lockerroom was completely behind him last year speaks more to the type of person he is than any of this other stuff.
