By stuck in Chicago do you mean pinned down by gunfire?

The news media has been:

1) JJ McCarthy is really bad at football;

2) JJM hates competing with Kyler Murray;

3) JJM is getting destroyed by Kyler Murray;

4) JJM really hates it in Minnesota;

5) JJM is destroying the locker room;

6) The Vikings need to trade JJM for whatever they can get;

7) back to (1).

Actually it was crazy safe and vibrant the entire time. I am always amazed at how alive that city is. At least over where we usually are. There was a lot going on this weekend though. Was there with my kid and my wife. I know better than to wander aroud south side at night, but north side and the loop where we were off Adams and Michigan ave are tame as can be.

Timing is everything. Teens decided not to stage a takeover in that area this weekend.

What I saw from the sports bobbleheads:

"THERE IS NO COMPETITION, KYLER'S THE QB1, KOC IS JUST BEING KOC...OK, THEY'RE SPLITTING THE REPS WITH THE 1S, BUT IT'S ALL KYLER...KYLER HIT A BEAUTIFUL BOMB ON THE SIDELINE (ok, JJ did too) BUT KYLER KYLER KYLER (ok, Kyler threw a couple pics) BUT JJM IS REPORTEDLY MAYBE DEMANDING A TRADE EVERY 10 MINUTES...."

A kennel of dogs dragging their asses across white linen would be less of a s**tshow.

I know. I’m a Chicago native. Great city.

we used to family vacation in Chicago back when the kids were still at home...Great time of year to visit that city.

My kid love the Chicago Bean and Willis Tower.

I LOVED the Griffin Museum of Industry & Science. They have a friggin U-Boat in there!

I had to read up on that U-boat. Very very very cool. I now have a reason to go back to Chicago. The Germans were sent to a POW camp from that submarine. I know back in MN they had German POWs digging ditches and maintaining fence rows. A storm came upon them and they ended up in our farm house basement. My Great great grandparents were 2nd generation German Americans and only spoke German. My Great Grampa spoke fluent German but learned English. He started to speak German to the soldiers just asking them how they were doing/being treated etc. The USA guards started freaking out. Was quite close to going really really bad that day. I miss Grandpa. Was a hell of a guy. Wish I had more time to hear his stories. We're pretty much from different times when it comes to modern human evolution.
