I think he’s going to get a lot more opportunities than most anticipate. When Jones invariably gets nicked up, he’s going to be Wally Pipped. Too much speed and lateral agility to be on the bench.

5'10-188, I see him more as a gadget back, Percy Harvin type role if his pass catch ability improves.

Nearly identical in size to De'Von Achane.

thats fine, I just dont see long careers for RBs that are sub 200# and are the feature back, they can be more productive IMO in a 1a / 1b situation where the pounding runs are taken by the bigger back, but then that smaller guy needs to be able to be more of the flex player that Harvin was IMO to justify that role. need to be able to get heavy use in the pass game to help sell the quick hitter run roles that those quicker players can excel at without taking a ton of contact by the big body defenders. I also think he will see more defensive speed than he saw in college which will take away some of those stutters and direction changes near the LOS that allowed him to make the bigger plays.

I am not saying that he cant be a traditional RB, just saying that I think there is a better use of him if he can catch the ball and run good routes out of the RB position.

I’m just not convinced that guys who can’t pass block will get much playing time, so I think his usage will depend a lot on whether or not he can handle that in the NFL.  Seems like we’ve had the super fast guys and they just don’t get on the field a lot because KOC’s got a 4 second pass route concept that they need to be able to help protect the QB on.  That said, I’d love to see the RBs get more usage in the receiving game, just get a more multiple offense all the way around.

there are exceptions to every rule, AD was that exception. I dont think DC will be able to justify that kind of overlook.

Achane has maxed out, so far, at 238 rushes with 90 or so targets in the passing game. I think Claiborne eventually sees similar numbers. He’s got the chops to handle that.

I think this is why Chandler was used so infrequently. He couldn't be trusted in pass pro. Not all small guys are necessarily bad at it, but Claiborne did come with that red flag. Fumbling and drops were another. But the kid is quick and shifty as they come.
