Via Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Vikings and receiver Jauan Jennings have agreed to terms on a one-year deal. It’s reportedly worth “up to” $13 million. Which doesn’t shed much light on the true value of the deal. The reported figure is the maximum amount he can earn; without knowing the base value and the triggers for any incentives, it’s impossible to assess the deal.

EAGAN, Minn. — Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison … say hello to Jauan Jennings.

The Vikings on Thursday agreed to terms with the 28-year-old receiver, who has been plotting his next move as a free agent since his 49ers contract expired last month.

Jennings has ranked in the Top 5 in the NFL in contested catches each of the past two seasons. In 2025, his 19 were bested by Puka Nacua (30), Michael Wilson (22), George Pickens (22) and Trey McBride (21); and in 2024, his 20 were topped by Terry McLaurin (25), Drake London (22) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (21).

Jennings has functioned as a willful blocking asset throughout his career, too. He has earned a PFF run-blocking grade above 70 in three separate seasons: 83.5 in 2021; 77.2 in 2023; and 73.8 in 2024.

By the way, Jennings has snared nine balls for 115 yards and a TD in three career games against the Vikings.

I'm shocked he signed a one year deal. Thought he was going to get a much bigger deal.

I guess he couldn't find a market. I'm kinda surprised about that but it is a nice deal for the Vikings. Arguably the best WR room in the league now.

It had to be a one year deal, at least in Minnesota. I had a feeling and even mentioned it in the original thread that it may not be done when he left town after his original visit. 'Up to $13 million' is a BIG difference than $13 million, I see the base is $8 million...I think he overvalued his market a bit, but smartly went to the right place. He had a nice year in 2024, thought he could parlay that into a big contract.....never happened. Listen, this isn't a WR1 here.....but is a hell of a WR3. Well giddy up to this 👍

I suspect those incentives that increase the deal to $13M (guessing yards and TDs) are going to be hard to reach for a WR3 who might even be our 4th option behind Jets, Addison and Hockenson. Vikings are stacked with receivers. This is going to be a hard-to-defend offense.

Just once I want to see a speed option with Kyler and Claiborne in the backfield and Jennings, Oliver and Bredeson leading the way.

it's on paper, and they've got to put it together on the field, and I get I'm a bias homer who's wearing purple shades sniffing glue but going back the last 25-30 years when have the Vikings had this much talent at wr?

1998 with Miss, Carter and Reed were better but that was 28 years ago....

Add hock and Oliver, IMO the Vikings are stacked at receiver.

Lfg!

Nothing close since then, this 3 is easiest the best 3 in the league. I was thinking how amazing it is, however after seeing Carter, Moss and Reed, wow there will never again be anything like that again, 2 of the very best of all time and then another big time WR. This is going to be an exciting seasons to see those 3 line up and hopefully Felton flashes as the #4. Add Price and going to be a really tough group to crack.
