The Viking destroyer wants out of New York and the Vikings have a huge need along the defensive line. Would you give up #18 to get it done?
10th overall is ridiculous trade comp for a guy you have to pay $30M per year. When I heard about the trade, I thought the Giants were giving back something significant. Nope, 10th overall. Madness.
I suspect Joe Burrow was holding the Bengals feet to the fire. As if to say, I didn't ask for a trade this year, but either give me some help or I'm gone next year.

It does resemble the Twins Org in that regard...But they got a (pretty good) new coach + lots of earlier picks in the draft. So Gmen fans are probably a little conflicted right now on their situation.

I couldn't believe when I read the compensation. Im like WTF AND you have to pay him..
With this trade, the NYG now become players to draft an IDL in the 2nd round if they don’t draft Bain.

Its a 1 year EXTENSION, so they have 2 years from his current deal and this 3rd year to get a new deal done.

They paid Jones. Paid him way too much based on him beating Donatell's D in the playoffs.
Guess harbaugh didn't want him at that cost.
