Teasley has to make the trades now to help this offense
6-0 is a big deal....that's probably an understatement. The defense every single week is dominating, you cannot waste that effort and what they are doing this season. We might not have the QB1 that a few thought he'd be (my concerns have been validated), but he's what we've got now so continue to work with his strengths. I don't think we need a huge swing at RB, Mason can be The Man (averaged 4.5 a carry yesterday), but we need an additional rotational guy now with AJ being hurt. Maybe a DT if the asking price is ok, the rookies (Orange, Banks) are just too green yet...they are getting gouged and washed out inside when they are in....which is causing their snap counts to stay low and extra mileage on the starters.
OG, RB and DT spring to mind for help via trades....various members of the board have brought up candidates. The team is amongst the absolute worst in the league at scoring points, especially TDs. It might be the difference between an early exit from the playoffs or a run.

The #Vikings are expected to “further ramp up” conversations with teams on available players via trade this week, @alec_lewis mentioned via @AlecLewisShow.

LIVE WELL ~ LOVE MUCH ~ LAUGH OFTEN
If it’s me, I try to make an extremely aggressive offer to the Chargers - the kind that is tough to turn down. Justin Herbert is a prototype for the kind of “pocket QB” offense this team runs. Even if we draft another 1st rounder, the development clock starts all over again. Even if we draft a 1st rounder, we’re probably giving up picks to get them.
Herbert has been terrible in their new system and is a bad fit. They are losing to the point they have to be at least considering a full tear down and rebuild. The coaches have to be wondering about their future - where it might be worth selling ownership on a rebuild to buy them more time. If there’s ever been a time to try, it’s right now. It would take him a few weeks to get up to speed, but it may be the difference between one and done in the playoffs and actually winning.
This defense is easily good enough and it’s rare you field a a group like this. Now is the time to make a move or at least try. Yes we go back to “QB cap hell”, but Herbert could be a cornerstone piece for the next decade.
If they arent going to change the QB, the O isn't going to improve. Mighty Mouse is fools gold. A few decent throws per game mixed into a handful of shit throws and sacks because he wont pull the trigger on nfl open receivers isn't taking this team anywhere. They either bench him, or keep those draft picks in their back pocket.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
Barkley was very effective last night on only 7 carries, but he's not healthy. It would be very risky IMO trading for him, his hammy is still tweaky and then his back locked up last night during the game.

Barkley looked fantastic last night, but I suspect he's not going to be healthy all year, which is a shame because he'd be a legit target for us. He sat out two games with the hammy and it took only a few runs last night before he was pulling up again.

I think its a target they have to move on from, IMO....no way you can give up decent comp with a guy (Barkley) that banged up as it stands today. And I believe the Colts are going to need to be blown away to trade Jonathan Taylor, they don't want to do it. And I'd be surprised if Teasley would go that far to get Taylor, JMO. Not hearing any steam with Quenton Nelson either to Minnesota. I'm just not seeing a needle mover out their for Minnesota...

We traded our bargaining chip to the wrong Harbaugh if we wanted Herbert. But don't worry, I'm sure the 5th round pick we got will get us the next Tom Brady that can play right away.
Interesting thoughts, but what would have happened if the Vikings brought in Mac Jones instead of Kyler Murray.

I'm no Mac Jones fan, but....yeah. My guess would be not the 4th worst passing attack in the NFL.

Quenton Nelson would be a nice addition, but I don't see that happening.
If AJ misses time, we really should be looking at bringing in another RB as he is not going to survive as a pass-blocking RB. Not sure why we gave up on Scott still, but I am a big fan of Vidal out of San Diego and think he could be a great pick up for cheaper than Jonathan Taylor or Saquon Barkley. Barkley is damaged goods at this point unfortunately and he's one of my favorite backs to ever play the game. IMO, that's just a pipe dream.

Thats where my head is at too...Way too risky now.
They may make a move, but I dont think its going to take the fanbase out of its mourning the loss of McCarthy and fawning over his hair on social media.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I think Kyler is struggling to grasp this offense. My fear from the start. Still have faith in Kyler, but we have to get it going with the schedule coming up. DO I feel Jones would be better suited to run this offense? Yes.

He would fit KOs system better, no matter what we think of him.

Decent QB1 play and we wouldn't be thinking like this. Its not just missing JJM or seeing him play some good quarters, its the offense has looked like ass with Murray under center. I think that's what some fans on this board who hate to see some pining for McCarthy while we are 6-0 don't quite grasp. If K1 one was playing lights out, we'd all be more of a good-for-us and good-for-JJM type mentality.

I think this reflects some, not sure it's the majority though. Who knows, doesnt matter much.
Its a weird fanboy thing I havent sensed much over the years. And thats over the 1019 qb's who've been behind center for the purple.
Like u say, lets just (keep on) winning.
Hopefully K1 comes around more and if not? Well, fans can have at it burning the GM/HC at the stake in January.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I suspect he was off the board for some teams. He bounced around various schools because he was involved in a serious felony while at Oklahoma - armed robbery that may have included assault / battery. He pled to a lesser offense and did some jail time. His football ability was not the issue. As a RB, he reminds me of Ollie Gordon of the Dolphins via OK State.
