He ragdolled both Bagent and Loveland. Reminded me of the time Allen sacked Eli while fully engaged with the OT.

I'm anxious to see how he does when up against someone with the pedigree of this guy....

I am not sure it matters to Turner. I think he will succeed no matter the matchup.

Legit. 2nd best OT in the league. I'm guessing BFlo is going to move Turner around to force mismatches so it wont be as much 1 on 1 Turner vs Wirfs. Stunts or whatever

Ronnie was #37 of #66 OT's in 2025. Wirfs was #2. Big difference this week but excited to see how it goes.

I don't think it takes an LT like Wirfs for Flores to move him around. Several times he came off the left end. He is already the chess piece and I love that he can play either. Jared Allen was a technician and had to go against the guy he studied. DT can move around and create havoc from anywhere.

On the last play, Flores had 4 guys on the D-Line lined up over the C (Bradbury), LG, LT, and TE (Loveland): Van Noy, Redmond, Cashman, and Turner. Gink and Wilson were on the other side. So the Bears needed someone to block Turner on the edge because the LT had to take on Cashman. Flores schemed Turner on Loveland. Ben Johnson could have brought in another OT but that would mean removing a pass catcher, either Loveland or Swift.

Turner did the job; he made the play. But Flores just out-schemed Ben Johnson. And Wilson did not even rush, he dropped back into coverage. The RG really had nothing to do.

Exactly. Flores straight made Johnson look like a fool. Why I made the comment that I am guessing TB won't make that mistake

Remember how we kept comparing Jared Verse to Dallas Turner back in 2024? And how some of us urged patience because Turner was still very, very young, and that he was behind two all-pros, and how so many didn't want to hear the excuses?

Yeah, couple things about that...

1. Dallas Turner is younger right now than Jared Verse was when he was a rookie.

2. 2026 Jared Verse: 5 pressures, 4 hurries, 0 sacks

3. 2026 Dallas Turner: 20 pressures, 9 hurries, 3 sacks

That will be a fun match up.. I would think Flo moves him around to keep the Bucs guessing.

LT actually blocked Van Noy and the RB took Cashman. But yeah, that scheme won the day. As noted in the athletic thread, Johnson also went mostly shotgun to avoid turning the QBs back to the rush. Obviously that didn't help and got them away from their staple offense.

#1 rule, don't outsmart yourself by getting too cute.

People were so mad we didn't take Verse. I was hard on saying I would NOT trade them straight up and would rather have Turner. Boy, patience is a virtue... Turner was drafted incredibly young.
