Carson Wentz is the first backup QB to throw three touchdown passes and no interceptions in a season-opening win since former Vikings QB Fran Tarkenton on Sept. 17, 1961.
That just happened to be the first game in Vikings history and Tarkenton's first NFL game.

Not awful journalism, maybe a bit on the bait side, but I do agree with him. Textbook Wentz. Bad mechanics leads to inconsistent accuracy. He is either spectacular (Jefferson 2pnt conversion) or awful like on these throws to Addison.
