I'm much more into the seedy, urban and hard-boiled Raymond Chandler type of crime fiction than the English country estate settings often found in Agatha Christie's yarns. But the trailer for this looks fantastic. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm disappointed it's only 3 episodes....We finished it over the weekend and both of us were thoroughly entertained.

Sold. I never watch anything over 6 episodes anyway. 3 is perfect for me.

I don't have netflix damn . . .  as to the writer I am becoming a pretty big fan . . . its amazing how popular she was during her time.

FYI -  if you like this - try Invitation to Murder.     Amazon prime had it.  I think there were 2 more I was going to track down,  Murder at the embassy and the Mystery of the golden Spear.

Maybe its just me, but I'm having a REALLY hard time finding anything good to watch on streaming services. Netflix has dumbed down their new stuff to keep the younger ADHD crowd engaged. You can't even rely on really good actors elevating a movie, its shit scripts and storylines. As an example, my wife and I popped into watch 'The Rip' because Damon and Affleck were in it and turned it off after 15 minutes. It was insulting our intelligence....as does 90% of the crap being developed and offered.

I find myself scouring everywhere for good documentaries because its the only thing worth watching....and that's an effort also. The less TV I watch, the better off I am for me personally today.

The Rip had A list actors with a B movie (being generous) script.  It was underwhelming.

I recently re-subbed to HBO Max for the first time since the Succession finale and was happy to find lots on there I haven't watched. Granted it's been a few years so it makes sense.

So far I've watched the first two eps of The Penguin miniseries (it wasn't for everyone but I love the most recent The Batman movie w Robert Pattinson) and it's fantastic. I'll likely give the Dune Prophecy and Welcome to Derry (IT clown) series a try after this. There's some documentaries and award show fodder movies I haven't seen that look good too. It's a shame the Game of Thrones spinoffs look so bad because I really loved GOT for years before it's demise.

I almost paused our YoututbeTV sub last night actually because I can survive without basketball until March Madness. Feels like a good chance to save a few bucks if the wife will go for it. Gotta see if she can survive with Real Housewives of Wherever for a month or 2 before I pull the plug.

I agree that The Pitt is a good watch, I just gotta turn my head about 1/3rd of the time - I'm too squeamish.

I can't remember the last full movie I saw where we both loved it...I'm going to tee-up Nuremberg with Rami/Crowe once the price drops a bit.

We are enjoying S1 of Night Manager on Netflix quite a bit. Just finished Ep5 of 6, I would highly recommend.

Tempted by the Mamoa/Batista movie on Prime (The Wrecking Crew)...But my expectations are very low.

We just started a GoT spinoff (The tale of Dunk & Egg). As of Ep1 it was underwhelming, but still early.

Have enjoyed both seasons of Fallout, if your into post apocalyptic humor, its pretty good.  Walter Goggins and Kyle Maclachlan do their usual quirky deadpan performances.  Kind of a Shaun of the dead or Zombieland in a series format.

Totally agree with everything here, loved those things as well. But watched them all already. The Penguin was really good. Another 'True Detectives' is coming down the pike, so that's great. And one we are enjoying now that I was remiss about saying is 'The Pitt' with Noah Wylie....excellent stuff.

But it still hits my 90% is garbage disclaimer.
