Not sure if we even made an offer?

I wouldn't have put my own $$ on Steelers winning the sweepstakes...

Unless he's got some connection to Tomlin I'm not aware of?

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Decent cover corner, however he wasn’t exactly a willing tackler & that was prior to fusion surgery.

Not trying to jinx anything, but considering everything else that has bit us in the ass this year, I'm shocked our lack of corner depth hasn't been one of them. We have two decent starters, Okudah (who has struggled at times), and zero after that. This is another position that's been heavily effected by Kwesi's draft misses.

Steelers signed him to the Practice Squad, which makes sense...allow him to learn their system and prove that he can play, before giving him a roster spot. He might not be as "plug and play" as some here thought or wanted.

Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.

We one decent CB on the roster and after that absolutely nothing else, Rogers is awful. If there was a place where he was going to get his best chance to play it was here. Can't imagine the Steelers are in a worse spot than us, so he obviously made the decision based on other factors than just playing time and after watching us on Sunday, can't imagine he would want to come to an organization that looks like a complete mess.

Yeah, don't think that had much to do with it. Or any to do with it, actually.

Wolfson said he “wouldn’t be shocked” if the #Steelers were the betting favorite to land Samuel, a big reason being that their team doctor performed his surgery.

That's a huge deal. Years ago Dallas drafted Jaylon Smith (I had to look up his name) at LB because their doctor had performed his surgery. First round talent who was off most boards for medical but Dallas went for it. PIT's doc having done the surgery means they have the most intel and can more accurately assess the real risk/reward of signing ASJ. Huge advantage over other teams and this presumably lead them to being more comfortable making the highest offer. Based on comfort level with the doctor and their veteran-lead defense, it makes sense that Samuel would lean their way.

And now, weeks after the Eagles traded for Jaire Alexander, he's reportedly "stepping away" from football. A sixer of Grain Belt says he tries to come back in two years after falling into debt
