I think tomorrow (July 22)

It appears that Gavin Bartholomew is starting the season on PUP meaning he can attend meetings but not practice. That might open the door for Yurosek as TE3. Noteworthy is that Fries and Darrisaw reported early and didn't get a PUP designation so indicates they're going to practice to some degree.

A few beat writers have insisted it's too optimistic to think Darrisaw will be ready for the opener. Alec Lewis called the idea "probably a rosy one." But he sure has been cleared to do a lot of work for someone who's not expected to be ready for a game 7 weeks from today. I'm sure they'll play it smart and keep his reps down in training camp, but I'm beginning to think it might be more likely than not he plays in Chicago.

But seriously, having Darrisaw back is going to be a huge help for this offense.  It allows them to work together and start gelling as a unit and with their new QB.  If Fries starts as well, my expectations go up significantly.

Haven't heard anything on Josh Metellus showing up for camp. He's looking for a new contract.

Gavin is going to have a really hard time making the team from the trainer's room.

Interesting that neither Darrisaw, Fries or Rondale Moore aren't on the PUP list from Day 1 of camp....a very good sign. I think Darrisaw truly is ahead of schedule. Guys heal at different speeds.

I think he's at camp.....not 100% on that. But I don't think they are close on a new contract. JMO but I'm ok with Metellus but have never loved Metellus. I think Minnesota doesn't want to necessarily commit big money to him.

I think its 50/50 that Darrisaw starts Game 1 on September 8th....that's basically 6 weeks from now. IMO he misses no more than 2 games worse case. Fries will be ready to go.
