It sounds like he is expected to be cut after June 1st and the Vikings are expected to be in the mix due to Ramsey having worked with closely with KOC in Los Angeles and their relationship they have.

I just wonder if this isn't the exact reason we haven't signed someone like Jack Jones yet? Its been stunningly quiet. We know the score on Asante Samuel. If the Vikings are able to sign Ramsey, does it take our defense into elite, top-5 territory? I'd have to think barring injury that it absolutely does

We'll see...but you have to admit that it's odd we haven't added another corner. Ramsey isn't what he was, but he'll turn 31 in October and still playing at a high level. I'd be pretty excited about adding him

Older I get the more I realize most of what is presented to us is BS... Sports news or general news. It's either to generate clicks or its funded to run a narrative. Heard an interesting take from Clay Travis yesterday. You notice most sports fan websites don't disclose negative information until a coach or player is gone? Because we the consumer wants to hear good things about your team. Same goes for media/newspapers they are telling good things about your political team or negative only about the other team. Thought is was an interesting take.

I think he ends up with McVay and the Rams. McVay has already spoken up about Ramsey so I think that’s where he’ll end up.

Ramsey is the once stunning trophy wife that is showing serious signs of slippage. Still better than most of the wives at the PTA meeting but not at all what she used to be. Still, at 80% he’s better than most.

I think I’d prefer Gilmore at probably a quarter the cost. Or Griffin. Or Jack Jones. The fact he’s already squawking about his contract that he just signed is also troublesome. The cap could be manipulated, but is he worth it? And like Sticky mentioned, this reeks of let’s throw something against the wall and see what clicks.

Or, do local journos not spread negativity because they know the world's full of Clays who will wake up every day and do it?

I think this is smoke without any fire. Just a ton of baseless media conjecture by the 24/7 sports machine at this point. Like the ridiculous Asante Samuel stuff, the content creators just jam baseless crap into the cycle. Making their own news. I don't believe any of it.

I guess I don't get what people think is the BS part. That he's available? Or that we're interested?

I'm the one that said its bullshit....he's got a $20 million salary this year. Who's taking that on in June almost?? And 85% of stuff posted online about stuff like this is complete crap, its rare that it comes to fruition. Like I said, I totally think its nonsense RIGHT NOW. But why would Ramsey take any less than $20 mill this year?

I think at this point, with him not at OTAs, and seemingly counting down the days to June 1st on social media, and Adam Schefter saying he's drawing "more interest than people realize," I think it's more likely he's traded than not. These things have a tendency to work themselves out too, so he could also stay put. We'll see.

I think the teams who are interested are likely limited to playoff contenders with both a need at CB and a good amount of cap space. So the Cowboys, Rams, Commies and Vikings. Still, the Dolphins would likely have to eat some money to make the trade work.

I'd be hesitant to add another 30+ veteran with a big salary. We're already going to be over the cap next year and will need to cut or restructure some guys.

In my old age Im easily confused. I've read this 3 times and do not understanding point. I never referred to local journalists. My point was broader to human behavior we listen or read things that validate what we already think. Or there is people who generate complete bs out of thin air so we click on it.

It will be interesting. His next team will be his 4th. But to my point and the point you made here first and foremost, the Dolphins would have to eat some big money. I'm not sure if that will happen. Ramsey is a hot head and doesnt fit into the Viking's culture IMO.

Yes to both. The rub is the made up content only needs the clicks/views, it matters not whether you agree or disagree with it. Its the engagement that counts and monetizes the content. Some seem to think if you respond negatively to something posted online that you 'win'....you've already lost as you engaged and did exactly what the desired outcome was. Easily manipulated.

If he's a post-June 1st casualty cut, then by all means bring him in if he's interested. Won't be like we're giving away a draft pick or picking up a huge chunk of his paycheck.

I think it's pretty clear our CB room isn't in it's final form. Not sure how that shakes out and how much we'd be planning on spending this spot though.
