  • I don’t know what the record for fewest trades in the 1st round, but I think this draft breaks that record. There will be two trades, one for Jeanty and one for one of the QBs
  • Vikings will draft a RB, a Safety, a Linebacker and a TE.
  • Vikings will either have no picks on day one OR no picks on day two.
  • No matter how many Viking fans say they want to trade down there will be bitching if/when it happens
  • Vikings will draft a linebacker earlier than anyone expects
  • Vikings at some point will draft either TE Thomas Fidone II or TE Ben Yurosek
  • If the Vikings don’t take a back earlier, they will draft one of RB Jacory Croskett-Merritt or RB Brashard Smith on day three
  • Players who will go earlier than expected: Grey Zabel, Donovan Jackson, Carson Schwesinger, Darien Porter, Jacob Parrish, Ty Robinson
  • Players who will go later than expected: Will Johnson, Tet McMillan, Walter Nolen, Jahdae Barron, Cam Skattebo
  • Good players who will go undrafted: Willie Lampkin

If you're correct on the TE bullet point-- let's pray it's Yurosek. And I don't have a strong preference on staying put or trading back, just please don't get fleeced. I can't handle the complaining about it or the excuses that will come if he does.

I just hope Jeanty goes to Jax or Raiders. Why the hell isnt NE talking about him at 4????

I agree on Nolan.
- Early mocks had him going as high as SF, now he might be a big dropper this year.
- Not sure where the Vikings stand on him though?

Sticky brings up a good point; watch what happens with Will Johnson tonight!

Vikings have been very good about keeping their cards "close to the vest"

They'll definitely draft a RB and TE, just a matter of when. There is too much talent out there not to.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Nolen reminds me of a poor man's Jalen Carter in terms of risk. A lot to be concerned about, but a lot to work with. Boom or bust. Honestly, I think the Vikings might be one of those teams with enough veteran leadership in Allen, Hargrave, Phillips, Greenard where they can maybe take a guy like Nolen and be less concerned than other teams. At his best he's damn good.

I'm with you on Jeanty. Yes, we endured Barry and Walter, but outside of one good year in Chicago, those were crap teams. Chicago's putting together a team to be reckoned with. I'm not a big believer in Caleb but there is always the chance it starts to click for him. If he does, that's a BAD combo. I'd sell one of my kids to avoid seeing that Jeanty son of a bitch twice a year.

I think Nolen goes back up to where his original hype was. He’ll be gone before 24.

My Vikings TE prediction is CJ Dippre from Alabama

Has the Vikings had any changes (improvements) to the scouting department or how Kwesi evaluates talent?

This. Don't pull a 22 and bail for peanuts. If we "lose" the trade by a few points OK, maybe the partner's picks couldn't fit any better or we had to sell a little cheap because everyone was trying to trade down, but I remember seeing one mock where we dropped to 31 for a '26 4th. That would be criminal negligence.

Surprise to some fans, but not to GMs...Vikes might pull the trigger on:

DL Shemar Stewart
CB Will Johnson (if he falls)
LB Jihaad Campbell
TE Colston Loveland

Truth. And we still don't know about McCarthy and Turner yet. If KAM doesn't hit on last year and this year's draft class, it'll put him on thin ice. Let's hope that isn't the case.....I've got a good feeling.
