I think at the top of nearly everyone's wishlist is RG Trey Smith. Sounds like he's a big fan of the Skol chant too. I think we should let him hear it more often.

Excellent year to be letting go of a LT who is going to be grossly overpaid. And an Edge player who is likely to be grossly overpaid. And a CB who is likely to be grossly overpaid.

This happens most years: what appears to be a really good FA class tightens up in the weeks before FA as teams sign their own. If Minnesota can get a starting CB and DT in FA, I think that's a big win. The OG money is going to be stupid over the top for average to lesser than average talent.

3 big positional needs and I'm just not assuming we'll fill them all in FA. That would be me thinking like an 18 year old again...

This is where being a 14 win team and receiving A+ grades on ownership, coaching, locker room and treatment of families comes in handy.

Agreed. I don't understand fans who downplay the importance of building a winning culture.

Nobody is downplaying. Every year FAs sign where they get the most money....then they all say how wonderful the culture is. I think the Vikings have an excellent culture, one of the NFL's best. But who's going to take less money? Very few in actuality. Careers are short in the NFL.

Whaddya mean. Did you see the massive culture shift in Cleveland? Lotta zeros in that culture shift.

I don't think it even needs to be said that money is the leading factor. But when it comes to deciding between two teams with similar offers, which is often the case, culture plays a part.

Location too...

Sometimes you're just a West Coast guy, or South Beach or most comfortable in the Midwest to raise that family

Rumor mill is very hot on Rodgers to Pittsburgh and Darnold to Seattle 45 mil/yr.

Talking heads last week: "There's no market for Sam, he's headed back to the Vikings."
Talking heads this week: "Several teams are bidding for Sam."
Talking heads next week: "Keep believing our bullshit, please."

Maybe. Indy, Pittsburgh, Giants have all been rumored. But I'd bet on Seattle too.
