Little Shocked No Vikings Trades Yet
I get that all the big swings require a little more posturing and negotiation, but adding some O-line depth with a 5th–7th round pick—or grabbing a Swiss Army knife for Flo—should be a slam dunk. No reason not to make those moves.

If they give up a first for a nearly 28 year old RB they should lose their jobs. This team is not a RB away from contending. They will need that 1st to fill the gaping hole at QB1 long term as its pretty evident that we dont have that guy in house already. Hell they shouldn't be trading away day 2 picks either as we have plenty of other future needs as well that are better filled with low dollar rookies.
There’s definitely a drop off at a certain age as well as carries, I think about 1700 or so. A risk for sure. But a couple guys are well past those milestones and still performing at a high level. I posted Taylor’s workout for that reason. Maybe he’s one of those guys who has more longevity.
As far as first round QBs, just not seeing that in 27. Way more Drew Allars than Drew Bledsoes. At least that’s the building consensus.
Instead of low dollar rookies can I interest in low dollar veterans? KVN and Wilson are providing more impact than Golday and Thomas.
Are we an elite RB away from contending? We run nearly 50% of the time. We have elite D and ST. A strong D and running game will typically get you pretty far.

I'd be OK with this.

not sure it is worth trading for anyone. Honestly vikes don't have the QB to compete when it counts. 1 read and dump doesn't get it done in the long run.
Analytics do not support this at all. He’s hitting his second read as often as his first. He’s also got one of the lowest dump off rates.

Not only could I see this, it makes a ton of sense. Jets are already in a great spot with this draft with the Colts 1st round pick. Braelon Allen looks like a stud. The cost shouldn't be exorbitant as he has been injured.
Right now the Vikings aren't in a rush. They don't have to waste assets get a few good adds. I really think our chances evaporated with Donovan Jackson getting injured. Even still I expect some adds but nothing extravagant. 3rd rounder being the highest with possibly a 5th thrown in for a single trade.

If we want a dominant run game, then they should have gone harder after Nelson, or at least be looking to upgrade the IOL before worrying about the runner, that would maybe help murray as well although until he starts seeing the field better and realizing that there are throws to be made, I think we are spinning our wheels with any moves.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Indy asked Nelson where he wanted to go. Chicago put together a better package than Seattle. He wanted to go to Seattle.
