Am I alone in the feeling that because Reichard is so solid that we are less aggressive once we pass midfield?

I dunno, just the perception I have that they don't want to take 3 off the board instead of trying to get the TD

They better find a way out of it. FGs aren't going to win games the next 5 wks.

They went for it on 4th and 1 on the 1st drive vs Colts. But our OL decided blocking was optional.

If you watched KOC mic'd up on Inside the NFL during the Colts game, he was telling K1, 'keep stacking completions....and get TDs in the redzone'. This is what he's asking Murray to do, which is a strength: high percentage pass completions. For those that say KOC hasn't tailored the offense to Murray's strengths I say that's bullshit. Kyler is rushing his progressions and sometimes throwing late. Needs to relax more and maybe that will still come with more plays and comfort. And in fairness to Murray, the OL decided to have one of its worst games of the year last Sunday. Oh and Murray knew he should have scored on that scramble, said as much to KOC after the play......I mean, I don't get how he didn't. It was wide open thanks to Jennings to cut back and stroll in.

Running/short passing to produce long drives and turning those long drives into TDs is the gameplan. Keep that aggressive D rested and let them hunt. The special teams will only help and never hurt the strategy. Keep turnovers to an absolute minimum.

I wasn’t necessarily opposed to going for it there, but I wish it was some kind of sneak or maybe have Mason run it there. He’s a bigger back and seems to get more tough yards.

I watch some CFL football and when they get to the goal line and need a sneak, the have a backup QB come in who is bigger and have him sneak the ball. It’s kind of bizarre, but it works. I think Murray is too small, so put Wentz in for one play and get the first down and then back to Murray.

Hell, I remember when Jerry Burns was coach, he took Kramer out for Hail Marys and put Wilson in because Wilson had a stronger arm. It’s just using guys for their strengths.

Yeah the offensive play design is way different now than before. It's easily visible on screen. I just think they should have did it in the offseason.

I think it was last season, Cinci had a fourth and 1 and called a timeout. The HC asked Burrow if he wanted to run the QB sneak and he declined. So they called on Flacco. He got the yard and came out of the game. Mahomes does not run sneaks, either. Neither should Murray, unless, as someone suggested in another thread, he takes the snap and a couple of teammates just toss him over the LOS.
