This really was a buyer beware situation in the draft…
#Commanders coach Dan Quinn said QB Jayden Daniels suffered another dislocated left elbow, and he is expected to miss time. X-Rays were negative.

The last time he had this injury, he missed about a month. pic.twitter.com/0lLwvQXAzz

Yep. He ran too much yesterday and he'll always default to that (not what injured him yesterday however). And the injuries will keep on comin'.
This is why I wasn't a fan of his coming out in that draft. I had Caleb Williams and Drake Maye as my top guys and JJ McCarthy as the next best fit for our offense. I wasn't a fan of Daniels thin frame and said he had the highest bust factor of the top 3. He was throwing to two first round picks in college, didn't throw over the middle of the field, and looks like he weighs 180 pounds. After his rookie season, it looked like I was dead wrong. Now? The talent is there, but the injuries are becoming a problem.

They played RG3 way too many games while he was injured and not fully recovered, but you're right on your assessment.

I wanted nothing to do with any of the top 3, I still may have to eat crow on Maye, not convinced yet, but Williams IMO is mentally weak, and I had the same concerns as you with Daniels frame, I just don like undersized players, yes there will always be exceptions, but there are reasons that there are "prototypical" sizes for positions.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
Oh man, hated to see both Williams and Daniels go out...
Jayden was the guy I wanted that draft over all and then Williams.
But I get (and got in 2024) he was slight for the NFL, just thought he could muscle-up over time and be ok.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

look at his frame, I dont think a frame like that has the genetics to carry bulk. some people are just destined to be thin.... and some of us seem to not have that gene....🥺

Also odd was the way all of the Commanders just kinda walked away after Daniels went down.
The vibes in Warshington are not good (per usual).
Somebody in his gene pool has messed up elbows....Pawpaw??

Predraft in 2024 there was a thread on the durability of both Daniels and Penix bodies at the NFL level.
You literally posted a picture reply of Daniels throwing where his fore arm muscles were extremely distorted.
Do you still have the picture?
Don't trade JJ.

It's the one sticky posted above.
It was presumed he was a solid teammate, I kinda doubt
Jayden Daniels was carted off vs. the Cowboys after going down with an apparent elbow injury.

Daniels tried to hold himself up as he was falling down and his elbow bent in an awkward way.

The body language here from Jayden's teammates as he is on the ground in pain is... uhhh.... not good. https://t.co/k8OKSRZcyc

Yikes... usually guys take a knee or huddle around to show support and wave a trainer over. They all just walked away. Mariota was the only one that went to check on him.
