I’m going to guess that’s the last time an OC tries to block Turner with a TE.

Isaiah Rodgers said after the game that he watches film of different kickers/kicking units, times them up. Knew exactly how many steps he had to take before diving to get there.

He’ll get a couple this year. Watched him on the FG attempt and thought he got it. He got up. Just tickled that he had this much impact early in his career.

How about giving it up for Aaron Jones? 105 yards on the ground yesterday. Took a hellacious hit and kept on rockin'. And Thorson, the rookie punter was exceptional yesterday both punting and holding for FGs in the pouring rain. Special teams are stellar.

The more reps Banks and Big Citrus get, the better off they'll be and the team come early November. Going to have to live with a few plays where they get handled, but that will diminish as they play and understand the pad levels better.

Glad to see Banks make a play or two but he still has a long long way to go. He was washed out by blocks too often even once by a TE. To me he looked to get tired and run out of gas. He has missed a ton of time and he admits that he is not really in shape yete. Getting some positive plays under his belt should keep him moving in the right direction. He still needs a lot of work on his get off and shedding / fighting through blocks.

Young guys, rookies in a big boy league. It takes some time. I think the best thing to happen for Banks yesterday was his confidence got a bump. He played more than expected yesterday and the team was fine. The more this kid can play and feel he's part of the team, the quicker his ascent. Just have to fade some inconsistency. Worked out well for the guy below and Banks has that kind of upside, lets be patient:

p.s. if we get a true superstar at DT and DE, giddy up.

100 percent. Every NFL player is going to have mistakes. You judge these guys on how many great plays they make and if they impact winning. Banks stepped up huge on some run stuffs and had 6 tackles... which for a DL in BFlo's scheme is extraordinary. Most of these guys are supposed to be gap fillers to let the LBs eat. Add in the fact that both Swift and Monangai rushed for over 100 yards each last week and we made them work for every yard yesterday was tremendous.

Banks get off was much improved. Needle is pointing straight up. ⬆️ Definitely played better at the point of attack. Needs to be more consistent with his pad level. Again, I wasn’t really expecting too much for another couple months. We’re starting to see the “run through a motherfucker’s face” impact. He can be an elite defender at this level.

6 tackles by a iDL in any scheme is impressive. In BFlo’s scheme it’s ridiculous.
