Should know today at 2 PM central time if Murray will start Sunday
Kevin O'Connell was asked earlier this week when Kyler Murray would need to be cleared from concussion protocol in order to play Sunday in Chicago. O'Connell indicated Friday (today) would be the timeframe. He'll speak to reporters around 3 p.m. ET/ 2 p.m. CT. https://t.co/tbbBSCAHPX

My guess: 'Kyler breezed through concussion protocol all week, looks great, but out of an abundance of caution, we're going to start Carson Sunday against Chicago. Carson has been tremendous.....(Coachspeak for the next 5 minutes)'.
What I would do: start Kyler Murray.
I like our chances a lot more with Murray starting. Considering he's this close to starting this week, he should definitely be back next week, which I'll happily take considering how dire it looked at first.

Bears have a weak D, they've flipped their traditional strong D/weak O around. The key to beating this team is Flores getting a rush on him that contains him. Force him to throw from the pocket where he's inaccurate and indecisive at times. Let him escape and use his legs and he will make those big plays that kill you. I don't think it matters which QB we start because as I said, their defense is weak at this point. Containing Caleb is the key to victory Sunday.

This, its the X factor to overcome or lose the game...
35/22 Bears is my take unfortunately. Bears dont have a great D but Wentz isnt a great QB either.
Hope I'm way wrong on that one.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
There is a protocol for a reason. If he passes it, then I guess he will play. Just what I saw with how he got hit, I think if there was a time to overrule a rule it is now. As a human, I don't feel he should play this week. That is just my thought. Have Wentz go out there. If you want him at 2, fine.
It sounds like Kyler Murray will be cleared before Sundays game, and it will be up to Minnesota if it’s safe enough to start him, per @DanGrazianoESPN.

he starts... he looks like shit.... "lingering affects from his injury" "missed reps in practice and game plan install" will be the excuse. My very unoptimistic opinion for this weekend.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Yeah, I think you're wrong. :-) I can't see the Bears putting up 35 on Flores. In his last four games against BFlo, CW has averaged 1 TD per game.

Yeah, throw out week 1 last year because that was CW's first start in the Johnson offense, but overall Flores has kept Johnson's offense well under their normal scoring average.
#Vikings QB Kyler Murray is not expected to play on Sunday, but it can’t be fully ruled out yet, @TomPelissero mentioned via @KFAN1003. pic.twitter.com/CwBM8FhUK5

5% chance Murray plays imo
As far as predictions, as I said in the start JJM thread, the bears will score 30. If they don’t I will be ecstatic and my number 1 guess will be that our IDL is for real, which I thought was a glaring weakness coming into this season.
Kyler Murray OUT Sunday per KO
Wentz starting

Kinda nervous about this one, just because our recent QB injury luck has been rough, and our starter made it...what, 11 snaps?...and wasn't memorable in that brief example.
Wentz has had his own injury history, and has legit knocks for accuracy and judgement issues....
...whereas JJM did beat Chicago once, nearly twice, but in on the injury report as often as vowels are.
Funny thing...I feel like, if the Vikings manage to keep good winning momentum past the halfway mark, they're a shoo-in for the postseason. Detroit looks like trash, definitely not panicking about the Pukers, and we'll see how Chicago looks on Sunday...
...but, I actually wonder if we're looking at a season that shows the lessons learned on needing the whole QB room...?
Getting close to Vikings Football time...!!!

Bummer, not sure how he got hurt, think he had one target all game. Really thought he would be a big part of the offense.
Its a non-injury issue,
He is dealing with a family matter...
