And in the 4th? :P
Defense kept us somewhat in it until the offense figured it out. And then the defense closed it out.
After how the game started I’m not sure I could have drawn up a more fun finish. Stuff to work on for sure but we scored 29 straight points! I’m thrilled.

Yeah we really should know that slow starts on a KOC team are sort of the norm. Looking back at games over the years it has happened with an alarming frequency.

I think the OL will be OK. Gannon had a good game plan early because KOC is a little predictable with his scripted plays. Wants to take some shots early with longer developing plays and the Packers guessed right. Sent extra rushers. Once we started running the ball, the offense functioned much better. I think that needs to be our philosophy moving forward. Balance and then go for the kill shots when we have a lead and the defense can hunt.

This is a good take thinking back on the game.

We have a lot of money in Darrisaw, Fries and O'Neil and a 1st rounder as one of the other 4, the OL should not being getting absolutely destroyed like they were. Fries looks to be a really bad signing, Colts made two smart moves that year letting him walk and signing Bynum.

I’m not 100% certain, but I kind of think that what happened to the Oline was KOC has a more predictable blocking scheme because he’s got years in the league.  Gannon came in with something they weren’t expecting because it’s week 1 and it took them a little while to sort things out.  Combined with Kylers first start in our system and Blake being relatively new to the center game.  I would expect the Oline to stabilize over the next couple weeks, but the defense gets to play too.
Certainly wasn’t as bad as the Packers Oline though.

I forget who it was being interviewed on KFAN before the game but they made a comment that it wasn't so much the stuff you prepare for that you know they will do, it's about how you react to all the new stuff you havent' seen yet in these first few games.

IIRC they got burned for 7 plays of 20+ yards. Murphy in particular looked brutal. Believe GB was up to 380 +offense yards when the Viking D finally woke up on the 4th and 1 (what an idiotic move LaFleur... thanks you!).

They picked on Murphy and rightfully so. He's the weakest link in coverage.

Umm, that free runner to the QB wasn't on Jackson?

Pretty clear now that Kelly, Fries, Hargrave and Allen were the 4 interior line free agent horsemen of Kwesi's apocalypse. Just a giant flush of the toilet all around.

Of course it was. I guess someone besides Jackson is blind!

And now im starting to understand PFFs grades... no way they watch the actual players play the games.

Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Huh? I saw Darrisaw get beat for a sack. Believe it was Van Ness.

Van Ness beat Brian O'Neill for his sack. The Cooper A-gap blitz sack was on Aaron Jones.

Wentz wears cinder block cleats and was sacked a WHOPPING 3 times. And while both look spry and I’m hopeful, Aaron Jones is pushing 44 yrs old and Jordan Mason is a career backup.

I’ll keep saying it— the OLine was just fine for Game 1.

Was really hoping we could have pulled off a trade for Achane.

I feel very alone calling out the need for a stud Rb on offense...Walker looked pretty nice last night

Walker looked great, but at that pace, Andy will run him into the ground by mid season…! 🤔
