Absolute Garbage Oline play
Just horrible.

They created a little room for Jones and Mason after Wentz came in. Let's see

But we got a new oline coach, didn't you read all the glowing summer reports? Everything is great! 😀
That’s what I don’t get. So did we get the wrong coach? Is it poor players? Is it poor schemes, is it poor execution, is it poor game prep/coaching? It can’t be wrong all the time can it?
Wentz is a statue who’s gonna take some sacks and that was the most committed run game we’ve seen in a long time. I thought the O-line was just fine and the DLine was outstanding.
The Dline made some adjustments but before that they weren't getting it done. When you blitz as much as we do and put a lot of people at the line and take them out of coverage..you better come away with some sacks. Lots of wide open Packer receivers. On the Oline, that contract we gave Fries is a killer. I was hoping he was just hurt last year but he's not getting it done and certainly isn't worth the contract.

yeah agreed badger. Up until the 4th quarter (maybe late 3rd) it was rough and the coverage was not good.

And in the 4th? :P
Defense kept us somewhat in it until the offense figured it out. And then the defense closed it out.
After how the game started I’m not sure I could have drawn up a more fun finish. Stuff to work on for sure but we scored 29 straight points! I’m thrilled.

Yeah, didnt see the focus on running (except on 2nd and 10) and didnt see that new attitude.

IIRC they got burned for 7 plays of 20+ yards. Murphy in particular looked brutal. Believe GB was up to 380 +offense yards when the Viking D finally woke up on the 4th and 1 (what an idiotic move LaFleur... thanks you!).
So Demond Claiborne....too risky to expose on the PS but too green to play? Is he injured? I mean, DeeJay Dallas played after being on the team for what, a little over a week or so?
And this offensive line sucked last year and it sucks this year. The team's Achilles heel.
I think the OL will be OK. Gannon had a good game plan early because KOC is a little predictable with his scripted plays. Wants to take some shots early with longer developing plays and the Packers guessed right. Sent extra rushers. Once we started running the ball, the offense functioned much better. I think that needs to be our philosophy moving forward. Balance and then go for the kill shots when we have a lead and the defense can hunt.
Yep, that's why they play the games I guess. What was probably our biggest advantage ended up being our biggest weakness (among a dozen weaknesses yesterday). That will sort itself out though.

I dont have the all 22, but that was my guess as well on why the O looked so inept early, just to long of developing routes and not having more than 1 check down option so it was easier to take that away as well. KOC needs to try and write a game plan knowing that teams are not going to be giving up the deep shit early and he needs to protect his QB with the run game. I think that helps the OL as well as it lets them get physical instead of getting beat on right out of the gate.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
I’m not 100% certain, but I kind of think that what happened to the Oline was KOC has a more predictable blocking scheme because he’s got years in the league. Gannon came in with something they weren’t expecting because it’s week 1 and it took them a little while to sort things out. Combined with Kylers first start in our system and Blake being relatively new to the center game. I would expect the Oline to stabilize over the next couple weeks, but the defense gets to play too.
Certainly wasn’t as bad as the Packers Oline though.

Agree!
The run blocking, and pass protection was brutal
