Week 1 around the NFL
Wow, there's no sugarcoating it. This is a terrible, terrible throw. Good thing we don't have Drake Maye. 😜

Here’s video of Tua Tagovailoa going down with back discomfort at today’s practice, which resulted in Cooper Rush taking all the QB1 reps.

And I think AJ Brown now has a high ankle sprain.
Sources: The internal belief with the #Patriots is star WR A.J. Brown could miss 3-6 weeks with his ankle injury. There’s discussions on if a short-term IR stint will be required.

I think Miami is going to surprise this year, do not think they will be a playoff team, but could see them be very competitive. Malik Willis has looked legit in camp, big kid, with a strong arm and mobile, who it seems like the light has gone on. They have Achane and a really under the radar WR group including two really good rookies in Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell and on defense love the rookie Jacob Rodriguez. Also think they have a solid new HC.
Not sure about that defense. LOVE J-Rod, but they need more than him. I just put an overnight bid in on Malik Willis for my fantasy team. I already have two QBs, but I have a roster space and I started to think, bad defense, running QB, he could really put up some numbers.

He is on my roster in our dynasty super flex league as my #3. I picked him up late last season anticipating him starting somewhere this year.
Falcons QB T. Tagovailoa ruled out Sunday, Cooper Rush to start, what happened to Penix? Countdown to the JJM for Penix trade speculation starts in 3 2 1…😜

Tore his ACL last November and hasn't recovered enough to be back on the field.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is inactive for Week 1 because the team is taking a cautious approach to his recovery from a torn ACL.
Penix stated he wants to reach 100% confidence and strength before returning to game action.

He was cleared for full 11-on-11 team drills during the final week of training camp. Must not be too eager to play…😉😜
Can anyone explain this to me?

Must be really worried about Brock Bowers injury. (I kid)
BUt yeah, I don't get it. I thought Mayer could be a good trade chip for them until now.

Packers said hold my beer....
The Green Bay Packers and star tight end Tucker Kraft have agreed to four-year contract extension with a base value of $75 million one day before the season opener, sources told ESPN.
The deal could be worth up to $92 million and includes a $26.5 million signing bonus, sources said. Kraft's deal carries an average annual salary of $18.75 million, making him the third-highest-paid tight end.
He will receive $31.5 million in Year 1, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Kraft, 25, is coming off a torn ACL in his right knee that cut short what had the potential to be a record-breaking season for a Packers tight end. Through the first nine weeks, he caught 32 passes for 489 yards and six touchdowns. Only one tight end had more touchdowns at the time, and only two had more receiving yards.

But he is actually a top 3 TE.

He was. We saw what a knee injury did to Hockenson's career. Odds are Kraft will be great but I can also see why he was open to a longterm deal right now too.
In other words, I'm beating my opponent and you're not. It appears Arthur Juan is off to a great start in New England after the locker-room tension and constant drama in Philly.

Sources: Maxx Crosby shut down Rams trade talks after failed Ravens deal
The Los Angeles Rams turned the NFL on its ear this spring with their blockbuster trade for Myles Garrett. But if the Rams had their initial wish, it would have been Maxx Crosbyinstead.
Sources told NFL Network that Los Angeles pursued Crosby shortly after his trade from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens fell through because of a failed physical.
Other teams were interested, but the Rams, with their propensity to swing big, were the strongest club pushing for a deal, according to sources.
But before there could be anything official, Crosby let it be known to anyone interested that he did not want to be traded. He wanted to remain with the Raiders and let his own organization know as well.
Crosby famously responded to the failed Ravens trade with: "I'm a Raider. I'm back. Run that s---." The five-time Pro Bowler delivered a similar message to the Rams and other teams who wanted him.
The original plan was for the Raiders to trade Crosby to the Ravens in what would have been one of the biggest moves of the offseason, with two first-rounders heading back to Las Vegas. But with Baltimore not comfortable with Crosby's surgically repaired knee, the deal was off.
Sources said several teams came to the Raiders hoping to do a trade, but nothing even came remotely close because teams wanted "pennies on the dollars," according to one source.
In other words, those interested teams hoped Las Vegas was trying to dump Crosby for a cheap price, which was a nonstarter.
Other teams such as the Eagles, Cowboys, and 49ers were monitoring and interested.
Yet no deal was coming, prompting the Rams to turn their attention to Garrett for their blockbuster this summer.
As for the team Crosby returned to, after the Raiders spent hundreds of millions in free agency, they were a much more talented team than when the Crosby trade to Baltimore was initially executed.
Once Crosby made clear he did not want to be traded again, it was over. As for Crosby's knee, sources say he has had no issues and is said to be in excellent health.
