Wow.

6'6", 320 lbs. Why is the team in love with the tallest guards on Earth?
one thing we've learned is the Vikings value the UDFAs as possible additions and not just TC fodder.
People sleep peacably at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Shaleak "Punch" Knotts, a 6'3" wide receiver from Maryland, ran unofficial 40-yard dash times of 4.32 and 4.34 seconds at his 2026 Pro Day. Yowsa…!!!

There are some players in the UDFA class that have a little more pedigree or name base, but Knotts is the 1 UDFA that I am most interested in that not only do I think could potentially make the team in the next year or two, but could continue to improve to be a legit option in the NFL. Players can have the speed and size like Knotts but then you have to put it together. He struggled for multiple years, then put up the stats he did with a marginal QB and originally coming in as a #3, #4 option this year. He was blowing by defenders at the college level.
A 4.3-second 40-yard dash is elite for a man who is 6'3", regardless of the sport, and is considered "freakish" speed for that height in football. Let’s hope he can run routes and catch too…! 🙂

Man there is virtually nothing on this guy. NFL Draft Buzz goes 90 deep on the WRs and he's not there. The HWS and tape is pretty good for someone to just be ignored like that.

I know I had no idea who he was until he signed. Now once I saw the highlights I remember watching the Nebraska Maryland Game at the end and remembered his catch in the 4th which I thought was pretty good at the time but that they really needed a 1st and not burn the last timeout. I will say I think he was somewhat difficult early in his college years and not fully committed is what I can gather. It sounds like the last couple years he really dedicated himself. So he is a bit of a raw pop up prospect that you are really only going to look into if you have a pretty good connection and know the story. Even still 6'3" and a 4.3 40 Just do not grow on trees. The routes and hands definitely need some work. But a #1 WR on a team in the B1G as a blow the top of the defense option sure seems like he deserves a flyer and has a pretty high ceiling. This isn't a Moritz Boehringer situation - this kid actually can play the WR position.
