I don't think the pecking order changed, much, but I think that our coaches have a very collaborative relationship, as opposed to a severe pecking order.

When the defense is doing as well as it is and the offense's issues are...obvious..., the defense is gonna get a heavy draft.

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

Looking at the amount spent on O vs D, we needed a talent infusion.

Think Flores is an awful talent evaluator and unfortunately think he has been the one making the defensive picks since he has been here. Have not been close to drafting an impact player on defense since he has been here. Teams need a real GM to be making personnel decisions not coaches.

Flores has been given 1 top 100 worthy draft pick in the previous 4 drafts! He’s not the problem. This draft alone gave him 4!

We did and we needed to get younger too...4 years of bad drafting are starting to show now with the roster.

And as much as that FA class from 2 years ago was stellar, last years just bombed.

I'm sure BFlo had a say in both.

That said, the guy has made chicken salad from chicken shit and the D the last few years has been stellar. Just imagine if they could play with a lead now and then?

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Flores was promised this If we retained him. That has to be the case. This was Flores' draft. He hadn't had much the previous drafts

Whether it was promised or not, it just made a bunch of sense: a talent influx on D was overdue. Glad to see it go down the way it did. I'm excited to see what happens this year, but the Vikings will be even better in 2027 if they can hit on a QB1 and another good draft. They'll have 4 picks in the top 100 of the 2027 Draft.....the new GM will have some ammo to work with.

Can u imagine what this idl would line-up as in September if they didnt draft like they did???

We all saw this D draft coming, but I will always wonder if they would have drafted Sadiq if he wasn't picked at 16??

In the past three drafts, we had 4 top 100 picks. Out of 12 possible, we had 4. We had FIVE this year alone. This was a get right offseason.

I've often thought of the roster-building in the NFL, and how some teams get it right (and balance their salary cap against a balanced roster), and some teams don't (like us, going back to 2022 for sure).

Last year, we overcompensated with Free Agent spending due to poor drafting. I think it's fair to say that it didn't work. Yes, this "get right" offseason was as much about addition through subtraction (Hargraves/Allen/Greenard...not the talent but the cap space), tweaks (adding KM) and what I believe we will say in three years was a solid draft.

A hair premature to say it today but while not flashy, I think the components will be there.

Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.
