Hype for sure but its also been written a few times that for whatever reason, the organization is especially stoked on this Draft class. We'll see.

KOC almost sounds like a draft nerd in this clip.

I like the Jackson pick, but most people I read who I trust are meh or worse in this class. Which is pretty much every Kwesi draft so far, though 2024 still has a chance to make up for a lot of it.

Whether it was these five guys they drafted or any others that they woulda/coulda drafted, his staff did their research on over 300 players and they had film and evaluations on why they chose any particular person. I don't recall a Vikings head coach who has given us (the public) such an in depth analysis of each player selected and why. Of course Spielman aside (try doing this with 10+ draftees without the audience falling asleep), I think we are super fortunate to have KOC as our HC.

I don't know. I think Jackson will be a very good O-lineman. For the rest count me in for drinking the Kool-aid. Brian Flores has effectively been given minimal picks in the previous drafts, and most of the players he has wanted either in the draft, udfa, or free agents have outperformed. So if he likes Ingram Dawkins, there is a good chance he will do well. Kobe King looks like a downhill smasher that gives us more beef for running teams and depth. Felton has the potential to be a #2 WR. So yes there are questions, but I do think this draft will likely be viewed positively in a couple years.

I like the players we drafted but there was just as much hype last year for Rouse, Jurgens and Levi Drake Rodriguez. The Vikings targeted those specific players and landed all of them. I see this year as similar. We got players we apparently liked, but were we right to like them? We'll see. Definitely one of the most unsexy drafts in memory. A guard a DL...LB and TE depth. Meh.
The sexiest thing you could say about this draft is that we drafted the one missing piece to a potentially elite offensive line. And for a fanbase that has seen ineffective line play for at least two decades, that is damn sexy.

Thank you Rams and Lions...Thx for forcing Eagan to address these short-comings in a different way.

And I didn't know if they had the nads to draft an OG in round 1 to show they're finally tired of getting bare assed spankings against physical good teams, but to my pleasant surprise they did. |
