Biden out fundraises Trump - Blockbuster Month!

Biden and DNC outraise Trump and RNC during blockbuster fundraising month
Quote:Both sides shatter records but Biden and DNC top Trump and the RNC for second straight monthBy Paul SteinhauserNick Givas | Fox News

President Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden both set eye-popping fundraising records last month – but Biden’s records were larger.
The former vice president’s campaign announced on Wednesday night that they, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and their joint fundraising committees hauled in a combined $141 million in June, which was by far the campaign’s best monthly figure to date.
Biden’s campaign called it a “jaw-dropping sum of money”
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s campaign also reported bringing in a combined $282 million with the DNC during the April-June second quarter of fundraising, which was another record. And officials touted that they and the DNC outraised their rivals for a second straight month.

The Restriction of Political Campaign Intervention by Section 501©(3) Tax-Exempt Organizations
Can 501©(3) nonprofits engage in political campaigning?

Quote:https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/charitable-organizations/the-restriction-of-political-campaign-intervention-by-section-501c3-tax-exempt-organizations#:~:text=Under%20the%20Internal%20Revenue%20Code,candidate%20for%20elective%20public%20office.

Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501©(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.

Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity.  Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes.
Certain activities or expenditures may not be prohibited depending on the facts and circumstances.  For example, certain voter education activities (including presenting public forums and publishing voter education guides) conducted in a non-partisan manner do not constitute prohibited political campaign activity. In addition, other activities intended to encourage people to participate in the electoral process, such as voter registration and get-out-the-vote drives, would not be prohibited political campaign activity if conducted in a non-partisan manner.
On the other hand, voter education or registration activities with evidence of bias that (a) would favor one candidate over another; (b) oppose a candidate in some manner; or © have the effect of favoring a candidate or group of candidates, will constitute prohibited participation or intervention.

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. (BLM) is a home to Black folks and our global allies, as we demand a world where Black people are liberated. Founded in 2013 by Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi, BLM is a chapter-based, member-led organization with chapters in the U.S., UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate White supremacy and build power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes through its educational and charitable activities. We support the lives of the Black queer and transgender communities, the disabled, those with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives. The affirmation that Black Lives Matter has resonated all over the globe and is expanding. For more information please visit: blacklivesmatter.com

In 2016, BLM Global Network approached Thousand Currents to create a fiscal sponsorship agreement. Thousand Currents, a 501©(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, provides the legal and administrative framework to enable BLM to fulfill its mission. Fiscal sponsorship is a common structure utilized by nonprofit organizations. Oftentimes, nonprofit initiatives seek fiscal sponsorship to be able to have the fiscal sponsor handle administrative operations while the organization focuses on its programs and builds up its own organizational infrastructure. In this capacity, we provide administrative and back office support, including finance, accounting, grants management, insurance, human resources, legal and compliance. Donations to BLM are received as restricted donations to support the activities of BLM.

Susan Rosenberg is a human rights and prisoners rights advocate, adjunct professor, communications consultant, award-winning writer, public speaker and a formerly incarcerated person. Her memoir, An American Radical, details her 16 years in federal prison as well as her conclusions about her prison experience and her past. She was released from prison in 2001 through executive clemency by then President Bill Clinton. Upon her release she worked at American Jewish World Service for 12 years beginning as a writer then becoming the Director of Communications. Post-AJWS Susan has worked extensively as a strategic consultant in organizational development with a focus on human rights, international development and criminal justice reform. She founded Sync It Communications, a communications-consulting group, and is the Director of the Erroll Garner Jazz Project. Susan is a founding member of the National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls and is on the Board of Advisors for Alliance of Families for Justice. Susan Lisa Rosenberg (born 1955) is an activist, writer and advocate for social justice and prisoners' rights. From the late 1970s into the mid-1980s, Rosenberg was active in the far-left revolutionary terrorist May 19th Communist Organization, which engaged in bombings of buildings and provided support to the Black Liberation Army.[1]

After living as a fugitive for two years, she was arrested in 1984 while in possession of explosives and firearms. She had also been sought as an accomplice in the 1979 prison escape of Assata Shakur and was suspected but never charged in the 1981 Brink's robbery that led to the death of two guards and a police officer.[2]

Rosenberg was sentenced to 58 years in prison on the weapons and explosives charges. She spent 16 years in prison, during which she became a poet, author and AIDS activist. Her sentence was commuted by President Bill Clinton on January 20, 2001, his final day in office.[3][4]

...

Rosenberg's sentence was commuted by President Bill Clinton on January 20, 2001, his last day in office. Her commutation produced a wave of criticism by police and New York elected officials.[19]

After her release, Rosenberg became the communications director for the American Jewish World Service, an international development and human rights organization, based in New York City. She also continued her work as an anti-prison activist, and taught literature at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (in New York City). After teaching for four semesters there as an adjunct instructor, the CUNY administration, reportedly due to political pressure, forced John Jay College to end its association with Rosenberg, and her contract with the school was allowed to expire without her being rehired.[20] In 2004, Hamilton College offered her a position to teach a for-credit month-long seminar, "Resistance Memoirs: Writing, Identity and Change." Some professors, alumni and parents of students objected. As a result of the protests, she declined the offer.[10]

As of 2020, Rosenberg sits as vice chair of the board of Thousand Currents, a foundation- and contribution-funded international grant-making charitable organization which supports grassroots organizations in the "Global South" [21] as well as acting as a fiscal sponsor of the Black Lives Matter Global Network.[22]

BLM uses ActBlue to collect donations. The ActBlue website has legalese that allows them to keep funds (donations) for what ever purpose they desire if the recipient doesn't collect the cash or rejects it.

Quote:https://secure.actblue.com/content/fineprint

In the event that a campaign or committee (a) fails for 60 days to cash a check from ActBlue which includes your contribution (after ActBlue makes repeated attempts to work with the campaign to ensure all checks are cashed), or (b) affirmatively refuses a contribution earmarked through ActBlue, your contribution will be re-designated as a contribution to ActBlue. Contributions to social welfare organizations which are similarly not cashed or are affirmatively refused will be kept by ActBlue and used generally to support its social welfare activities.
Thousand Currents is the head 503©(3) for Black Lives Matter donations.

Where does ActBlue spend it's money? They have collected over $1.5 billion dollars...

again, https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00401224/

Two questions that need to be answered:

1. Has BLM actually accepted all of their donations? What percentage of those donations has been "left" for ActBlue?
2. If contributions to BLM are not being delivered (by any definition),  how are those funds (donations) distributed (ala, were they sent as ActBlue campaign contributions)?

If BLM doesn't "accept" a donation, would it allow ActBlue, a non 501©(3), to use those funds as they see fit? Does this, in effect, allow international campaign contributions?

How did we get back here? Why do you keep doing this?

On different posts, in a different thread, on a different day of a different month, we went through this already. There is no conspiracy here. What is insightful about playing 'what if' and coming up with something when there is no hint of proof that it exists? Why are you convinced that BLM is a front for something? Before you were claiming that ActBlue was directly participating in fundraising and then funneling the money. Why was that? Because OMG when you click the link to donate to BLM, the address shows 'act blue'. We caught them in the act! Have you let go of that yet?

Since BLM as well as other candidates CHOOSE to use ActBlue as a platform, why do you think they're not accepting donations that are made TO them? And now you have twisted thoughts into the idea that BLM might not accept a donation and then ActBlue uses this as a plan for international contributions. Do you have the same theory about WinRed (https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00694323/), the Republican version of ActBlue? Just because you don't agree with BLM doesn't mean they have nefarious intent. And yes, ActBlue has "collected" a ton of money, if by "collected" you mean the money has flowed through their platform to candidates and causes. Good for them for creating a product/service that is well used.

What does it take for you to let go of this?

Link on Black Lives Matter website does not donate directly to DNCCLAIM: When you click on the donate link on BlackLivesMatter.com, it takes you to the fundraising site ActBlue, and any unclaimed money is donated to Democratic candidates.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Posts online do not show ActBlue Charities, a nonprofit online fundraising platform, taking money from Black Lives Matter to donate to candidates. The link on the Black Lives Matter website takes you to the ActBlue fundraising platform where Black Lives Matter fundraises to “end state-sanctioned violence, liberate Black people, and end white supremacy forever,” according to the website.
THE FACTS: Social media users are circulating posts that suggest that all donations to Black Lives Matter will go toward Democratic candidates in an effort to politicize protests around the nation demanding justice for George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died after a white Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee into his neck for several minutes.
The video and posts online base their claim on an ActBlue Charities link that appears on the Black Lives Matter website. But the ActBlue Charities link is there simply to process donations for Black Lives Matter.
An ActBlue spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press in an email that when donating on an ActBlue or ActBlue Charities page, the donation is earmarked for the group on the form and goes directly to the receiving campaign or entity.
A video uploaded to Twitter with more than one million views opens with “Let’s take a quick look at what black lives matter is REALLY about,” before getting into the false claim about ActBlue Charities. The posts online were quickly amplified by conservative pundits across social media platforms with posts receiving hundreds of thousands of likes and shares on Thursday, June 10.
The Center for Responsive Politics addressed the false claim on Twitter saying that like ActBlue, a fundraising platform used by Democrats and progressives, WinRed is a similar platform used by conservatives to fundraise online.
“A donation to BLM through ActBlue goes just to BLM, not any other group,” the tweet said.
The Democratic National Committee also told the AP that the DNC only receives donations made through ActBlue if they are explicitly made out to the DNC.

I admire your patience, Nichelle. But it won't last.

BM7  and his doppelganger A1J have been spewing this kind of nonsense for years. You should've seen it in the run up to the election: Everything from Benghazi to Comet Ping Pong. Clinton is a murderer. And a pedophile, apparently. Soros pays for it all. Obama faked his birth certificate. It's just more of the same nonsense.

Trump, his digital media group and the nuts in QAnon figured out long ago that they could tell his followers anything and they would believe it. Literally ANYTHING.

Scientists, scholars and journalists have devoted their entire lives to deceiving you, while a reality tv star with a long history of fraud and documented lies is telling you the truth.

And so you have people who now think that BLM is a group bent on destroying America, the virus is a hoax meant to bring down the president, the 75 year old in Buffalo was an ANTIFA provocateur who cracked his own skull as an act of agitprop. I could go on for pages...and it's all funded by...of course, George Soros.

Normally, you would just dismiss these as things meant for stupid people, but it's actually becoming dangerous. As the virus spikes in places like Florida and Texas and Arizona, this kind of pigheaded refusal to acknowledge reality is literally killing people.

This is now the face of Trump's America. Scared. Stupid. And just a little bit crazy....
