This Vikings team is really on paper, a playoff team. He has a receiving core most quarterbacks would die to throw to. Best offensive line we've had in years. A defense that will keep him in games. He had a year to sit and learn the offense. The issues we are seeing with McCarthy are between the ears and right now, he looks a hell of a lot like Christian Ponder. Hoping to see some signs of life before the season ends

His numbers would look a whole lot better if receivers quit dropping the ball. Some of that’s on him, but not all of it.

He's going to look a lot better this week.

It's okay to be a bit concerned after the last game.  I am.  I think he's got a shot to be an excellent quarterback but very well may suck in the next, 2, 3 or more games and then progressively get better...  We've had young QB's fail before, it's okay to be unsure of the future.  It is always wise to never get too high or too low relative to the Viking team or Viking players.  They'll either surprise you, bite you in the a$$ or do whatever is expected.  A football fan's life!

For the love of God the kid has started 5 NFL games!    Posters comparing him to Ponder and should be like Mahomes. Just chill and let the kid
play and the coaches do their job.   Yes he was terribly inaccurate versus Chicago, but he had receivers drop balls. He put a little bit too much
mustard on some of his throws but it's all a learning curve.
I played college basketball and had a cup of coffee with the Charlotte Hornets in the pros. I played with some top notch rookies and also saw the behind
the camera stress some had with the pressure from the press and fans. I was a rookie and the most pub I got was being asked questions about Michael.Smile
The kid is 22 and learning.   Mark my words we're going to have a good one here.
