ITs definitely got pluses and minuses.

Certainly a more neutral site than on the road at CLE or PITT

But 1/2 a mos over-seas? Thats asking a lot of the players, org and families.

They'll keep all their home games, which is a plus. Flight is only an hour+ between the two cities. It'll feel like home games for the Vikings in both locations. Those are the plusses as I see them, and the downside of course of the time difference and being so far away. My guess is the NFL will accommodate all the family members that want to/can come as this is unprecedented.

Bottom line: two very winnable games for the Vikings. If you think a QB named McCarthy and a HC named O'Connell are going to lose in Ireland, think again. Wink

So weeks 4 and 5 it sounds like. And maybe the bye after? October 12th would be peak foliage in Mpls and a good game to target if they don't have a bye that week.

The Vikings are 4-0 in regular-season games and 4-0 in preseason games played outside of the U.S.

2 overseas games that will at worst be nuetral site? yeah, sign us up. No ticket holder loses out and the team has shown they know how to win in those circumstances.

As I've seen these rumors circulate, it appears that their first game back in the US could be a Monday Night game, so the bye wouldn't be so early two seasons in a row.

It'd be a tough series for the team, no doubt, but also...pretty special, I'd think. I certainly see both UK games as winnable.
Build on 14-3, take back the NFCN, break the ****ing curse. Simple.

And greedy Goodell continues to have no regard for fans on the west coast. 6:30 start time is BS. I think it is total garbage having a team play consecutive weeks overseas or to have to play any regular season game there. Home teams get screwed. How about playing the pre season games so dedicated home fans do not have to miss out. There should be a limit on how long someone can hold the commissioner position. He is going on 20 years which is way too long.

I agree about the consecutive week thing. That's a heavy blow to one team. I don't think it matters who the commissioner is though. The NFL would be doing this regardless.

So now we only have 7 away games with home field disadvantage;

Away:

Pittsburgh Steelers (at Ireland, Week 4)

Cleveland Browns (at London, Week 5)

Chicago Bears

Detroit Lions

Green Bay Packers

Dallas Cowboys

New York Giants

Seattle Seahawks

Los Angeles Chargers
