Xmas Games...
#1
So 2 pretty good games right? This could be the week KC loses again?

KC at Pitt
Balt at Hou

Both of these games are on Netflix...

my point being, I dont think we need any nfl games on Xmas.

Let the players and coaches and support staffs be with family, friends whatever they want to do.

Its also late in the season for players to rest just a few days b4 they got to play again. So yah, I would put a bullet in Thursday night games at season end too.

I know, when pigs fly....

Holiday time + sitting around, doing nothing while visiting with family/friends + eyeballs available to watch TV = $$$$$$ for the NFL. I know some families that get together for the holidays and love to go to a sports bar/restaurant to watch sports as a way to get out of the house/give the meal makers time off and relax....you will definitely find a few places open on Xmas, surprisingly. Especially with a big Jewish population around! Wink There's lots of downtime outside of opening presents. From the player's perspective, sure....it would be nice for them to have a normal holiday. But they are also WELL compensated for these things. Family time is what you make it, regardless of what time of year it is IMO.

My gripe isn't that the league scheduled games on XMas as much as they scheduled games on a Wednesday. I can see scheduling games on XMas if it falls on a Thursday through Monday. But, I can't ever recall a Wednesday NFL game. The league manipulated their own scheduling format in the name of increased ratings & at the expense of player safety.

It's sad that the league continuously puts money above what's best for the game and players. Nobody needs Christmas football or Thursday night football games. Makes for a shitty product, increased risk to player safety, and teams not at full strength due to the lack of recovery time. The NFL will kill the golden goose at some point in their quest to squeeze every dime they can out of it.

Yeah, it is easy money for the NFL, but wed games have to be really harsh on the players. I am sure many are barely recovered from Sunday games, let alone having any time to practice.

Same teams from Saturday reshuffled for Christmas… or the equivalent rest to a Sunday-Thursday schedule.  Confused
