And I have seen many meme about those pro-vax posting on social media that have died shortly after as well. Could be coincidence, dunno. But I am sure it is the same level of scientific fact as you are posting here.

That wasn't a meme, that's a fact reported in a news story, look it up. That's why you have no cred, you can't tell the difference. The Dude died and he was an avid and prolific anti-vax meme author.

Why you have no cred? I said I have seen many a meme, meaningless excerpt, personal experience...
Many are facts. People have died shortly after receiving the vax. But since personal experience isn't really a scientific study, go ahead and keep on sharing.

But it was his choice and the consequences were his. I know you want to make this about left vs right...but it's really about vaxxers and anti-vaxxers. As I pointed out above, the math doesn't work on these so called surveys of those that have/will be vaccinated and party affiliation. I have all my employees vaccinated (both Domestic and International) and my family is all vaccinated. My last holdout on the vaccinations at my company was an anti-vax, gay, vegan....I didn't ask specifically about political affiliation...but given Madison is about 80% liberal, I think it's safe to assume....
I know part of the issue for the Right is the Left has little credibility in terms of "science". One of the basic tenets of the Democrats is support of abortion rights "without exception" including 3rd trimester abortion right up to birth. We could have a reasonable discussion about when life begins..but certainly the day before birth isn't debatable...it's about killing babies...just a matter of location.
The Climate change debate is where the Left completely lost credibility. Climate change is "settled science" right? We have the "I believe in science" and "Climate change is SETTLED science" signs all over this town (Madison). Dissenters need to be silenced, conflicting opinions need to be argued by rapid response teams...and there's even talk about deniers being charged. As a scientist, I will tell you that no science is ever settled. The Scientific Method, the basic foundation for all scientific discovery, expressly forbids it. Science is based on what we know today..and needs to be forever challenged to ensure scientific advancement. From the Oxford Dictionary:
- sci·en·tif·ic meth·od
noun
- a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses. "criticism is the backbone of the scientific method"
When we have 10 years without a CAT 4 or 5 Hurricane....it's only weather according to global warming supporters...not climate. When we subsequently have a single serious hurricane...it's due to "Climate change". With the Climate change zealots...they know the answer...and just need to find data to support it and suppress any dissension. The discussion has become so dishonest, it's not even worth having at some point...and this from a person who actually believes we should be good stewards of our planet since it's the only one we have. That's why many on the Right won't listen to what you have to say on vaccinations...they've seen the lengths the Left will go to forego actual scientific discovery methods to "prove" the results they want/expect and won't now trust the Left on vaccinations and the "science". The UNCC is a political action committee...and not a scientific discovery committee....otherwise...they would encourage opposing ideas to better prove their findings.
There's a professor emeritus here at the University of Wisconsin that according to many can prove Global Warming through ice-in, ice-out dates on Lake Mendota which is in the heart of Madison. They have data since the 1850's from local newspapers, letters and other sources...some directly referencing ice-in, ice-out, some indirectly and a few interpreted based on temperature date. Clearly it's not an exact science because having different people offer their opinions or anecdotal data on ice-on, ice-on is highly subjective...and can vary in interpretation. The professor was nominated for a Nobel prize based on this Climate change work. It was an interesting window to Madison's early days so I attended one of his discussions down on campus. Not unsurprisingly, the earliest ice-n and latest ice-outs were in some of the earliest measurement years...since that was well before Madison became a large, heated, vibrant city that engulfed the lake...adding to the heat profile. More importantly, the first few years were before the storm sewers were installed that flowed into the lake...and certainly before the downtown power plant was developed with cooling ponds in the lake. At the end of the talk, my girlfriend and I asked two questions
1) She asked "Since the earliest ice-in and latest ice-outs were in the 1860s, doesn't that disprove the theory of man made climate change?" She was booed and the answer was very defensive and wasn't really an answer.
2) I asked how the data was adjusted to account for "externalities"...namely the large city engulfing the lake, the storm sewers being connected and the power plant...I was also booed and we were asked to leave.
The point is that good science stands up to vigorous debate...clearly this didn't.
I've been vaccinated...my entire family has been vaccinated...and everyone at my company (which I own) has been vaccinated....including those in China (though it's the Chinese vaccine...so the efficacy is pretty sketchy). I believe people should be vaccinated...both for their own good but also for the greater good...but at the end of the day...it's their decision. When the vaccines are officially approved, I have little doubt they will be required in our schools, healthcare facilities and military....as they are now for other diseases . Shaming others to be vaccinated right now especially with vaccines that are only approved for "emergency authorization" is shameful...and eventually not helpful to convincing others...quite the opposite.

The consequences are being experienced by his Widow and Child, he's out of here. He decided to fail them for a fools cause nothing to do with science.
^ Yes, it was his choice. He was free to make it. I hope his infant son appreciates that. And I hope his wife's condition remains mild so the child doesn't lose both parents.

Sounds like you're deeply concerned...they have a gofundme page listed. Maybe you should contribute?

You sound like you think I'm being an asshole, here. It can be difficult to tell on a message board. I'm not. Per my first comment, it really was his choice. And I really hope that his son is able to reconcile that. Hopefully he will be fine emotionally while growing up without his Dad while considering that choice. And I don't want him to lose a second parent.
I give to causes including gofundme's to help others. I've donated to people who were losing their homes due to the overall devastation of this disease. I've given to my own family after the death of my aunt from Covid. I've given to... never mind.. I hope YOU donate to help them pay funeral expenses or whatever expenses they incur.
