2025 NFL Free Agency and Draft: RB
This pitch count thing for Jones is weird. They probably could have got him down to 12 attempts a game if they just let a different RB take some carries in the second half when we were in the 4 minute drill with a healthy lead. It’s not like we really needed to upgrade RB2 or RB3 to lighten his load. There were more than a few games where I was commenting, “Why is Jones still out there?”

I also doubt those 3 carries were really hampering his ypc. I’d guess our OLine talent and subpar rushing scheme had much more to do with his ypc than 3 extra carries.

Damien Martinez continues to show up in metric after metric. He has better lateral agility than both Kaleb Johnson and Hampton IMO. I doubt he's in the cards for us, though, considering Mason is a similar kind of back. I think if the Vikings take a back it will be a 3-down speedster like Henderson or Harvey.

This guy right here will be the real deal in the NFL. Been watching him a lot and he just has it. Give you props to have been on him as long as you were, when I didn't even look at him.

Me personally, it is Harvey. I like the angle with Mason that Martinez is a similar back. I think Martinez will be a good one in the NFL, but I would be all about Harvey. Henderson? The more and more I get into the RBs, Henderson would be a perfect get. I wouldn't even mind if it were at 24 at this point. That is how good I think Henderson is. Such an underrated strength that Henderson has that so many don't talk about, is that he is the best blocking RB in the class and probably in the last handful of years.

Well, we got Mason for 2 years. He’d be nearly 28 when his next, potentially larger contract is up. I’m of a mind we go with 4 RBs this year on the roster so Martinez and Tuten give you a thunder and lightning combo for a bit longer than Jones and Mason.

Plus, Martinez is such a karma pick.

Harvey is also showing up on every metric.

If we somehow pass on RB this year, there’s two guys at Penn State I would not mind next year.

Yes he is...

They're entertaining as hell, but he's gotta knock off the hurdles!

There’s a couple guys I really want to watch next year. Love. The 2 backs from Penn State. And Branch from USC. For starters.
