Unfortunately, that is the reason that the NFLPA does not want the season extended to 18 games by moving 2 pre-season games to the regular season. Even more exposure to injuries. Quite a dilemma.

I guess the injuries are on pace with last year. Its not worse, trending the same. But its an issue when your stars are getting injured for the year EVERY year.

Getting rid of the CBS/NBC TNF games would reduce each team's salary cap by $7 million. Don't expect them to go away any time soon.

People are out doing things or at home doing things on Friday and Saturday nights, not in front of their TVs anywhere near as much as other days of the week.
