The NFL is creeping back in already, giddy up... - StickierBuns - 02-25-2026 March 3rd is the deadline for franchise and transition players....that's next Tuesday already. Then during the period beginning at 12:00 noon, ET, on March 9th and ending at 3:59:59 p.m. ET, on March 11th, clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents upon the expiration of their 2025 player contracts at 4:00 p.m. ET, on March 12. And then free agency begins officially. I would imagine things will heat up tremendously next week rumors-wise, with the more real ones as we get closer to the weekend of the 7th-8th. RE: The NFL is creeping back in already, giddy up... - StickierBuns - 02-25-2026 Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report · 19h The #Ravens remain hopeful they can get a deal done with C Tyler Linderbaum before he reaches the open market, just like they did last year with LT Ronnie Stanley, per sources. Linderbaum is generating a ton of buzz from teams I’ve spoken to. If he reaches the open market, the expectation is he could land a deal north of $22M per year. One executive told me: “The center is the extension of the coach for most of these teams, and he’s 25, a 3-time Pro Bowler, and just getting started in his career.” VikingzFanPage @vikingzfanpage · 4m The RB position is “very much in play” for the #Vikings to go after this offseason, @BenGoessling mentioned via @KFAN1003 . Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report · 22m #Packers free agent QB Malik Willis is in demand, as expected, and interested teams I’ve spoken to at the Combine in Indianapolis believe him getting at least $30M per year is a foregone conclusion. Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report · 12m Sources: The #Falcons informed former Pro Bowl special-teamer KhaDarel Hodge that he will be released. Hodge spent four years in Atlanta, including that Pro Bowl season in 2024. They don't play QBs until they're ready. They're going to lose Willis, but they signed 3rd round veteran Desmond Ridder in January, and a few weeks ago signed Kyle McCord, the Buckeye QB who was drafted by the Eagles in the 6th round last year, looked pretty good in training camp, but ended up getting released in a numbers game after the Eagles acquired—wait for it—Sam Howell from the Vikings. I hope the yeller team doesn't get lucky at QB2 again. But there's some Malik Willis-ness to these moves. RE: The NFL is creeping back in already, giddy up... - StickierBuns - 02-25-2026 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter · 15m Another available QB: Carolina has been getting calls about Andy Dalton for a potential trade, per sources. The cost per year of Willis and darnold is about the same? Sorry , that's not correct. Teams overpaying for quarterbacks the last 5 years is starting to show. the market will change, way too many teams cap situation is wrecked on overpaying for QBs. RE: The NFL is creeping back in already, giddy up... - medaille - 02-25-2026 I think Daniel Jones's contract last year is more appropriate for the situation. Absolutely no way. Willis will get $30 mil a year, guaranteed....maybe slightly more. There will be several teams interested in him. That is modest today for a NFL starter, which he'll be: outside the Top 20 for sure. |
