Tomlin stepping down - badgervike - 01-13-2026 Details to follow..... A lot of losses in the playoffs. Has to take a toll on you at some point. No QB to rely on going forward. RE: Tomlin stepping down - JimmyinSD - 01-13-2026 word is he has a lucrative tv deal waiting for him, probably as good or better money and none of the grief. and that makes 8, whoever had 25% the coaches out after the season is sitting pretty good right now. I'm sure its a grind and maybe he can revisit next year or the year after to return to coaching. Or not. RE: Tomlin stepping down - purplefaithful - 01-13-2026 I figured this was coming... Word was he was loved in Pittsburgh. Its the Rooneys still in charge? I would think he would be a legit candidate if that were the case. RE: Tomlin stepping down - MaroonBells - 01-13-2026 Apparently, Mike Pettine just announced his retirement, opening up the Asst. Head Coach title for you know who. RE: Tomlin stepping down - Montana Tom - 01-13-2026 Has it really been 20 years since "PLAY LIKE YOUR HAIR IS ON FIRE" was the Tomlin defensive battle cry in Minnesota? RE: Tomlin stepping down - medaille - 01-13-2026 Makes sense. He’s kind of in a no mans land right now, where people are bored with the situation, he’s too good to get a quality QB and no one will have the patience to go through that process with him. Take a year off or get a media job, jump back in when the time is right if he wants to. |
